On numbers alone, Maddie certainly qualifies for the Teapot Club. However, we didn't see a picture attached to your application, so Maddie has been rejected pending photo verification. You may reapply in 2 years or 2 minutes -- whichever comes first.

While we don't question Rock Star's hardiness or cuteness, the starting point for consideration to the Teapot Club is 7.1 pounds. Sorry if this seems harsh, but Teapots have been denied admittance to AKC conformation shows for eons, and this is our little way of saying "In your face."

Let us know if Mr. Star hits a freakish growth spurt in the next few months, and we will gladly reconsider.

As I often have to explain to my Yorkies, what they WANT and what they GET are two different things. Lexi may WANT a belly rub every day, but does she GET one? Well, forget it, bad example. She probably DOES get a belly rub every day.

However, if Lexi is serious about joining the Teapot Club and Secret Society, she will have to get her mama to post a photo and a more detailed biography that includes her age.

As for the other two, close only counts in horseshoes. Until they surpass the 7-pound barrier comfortably, they can only dream of joining the prestigious club.

Sneakers humbly accepts membership in the prestigious YT TEAPOT Club.

Also, he requests that you guys keep in eye on his sister Becca, who
is 9 months old now, and weighs 6.5 lbs. Given that both are from the
same Sire/Dame, it's probable that Becca will become a candidate for
membership before too long.

Given that possibility, just how much would one have to weigh for an
application to process ?

For the past month for some reason, Princess has been finding her way to meet the criteria of Teapots.
Though she held steady for many months at 6.9 lbs. she is now up to 7.6lbs. in just a month!
She is 15 months old and an avid fetch player, with curvy little curves, so I'd say she's fit & not fat.

I can guarantee the Jogs, BM's and no PorkoPups in this house, but...
I think Becca is part Witch, she can look at me wag her tail that
puts a Spell on me, and I just can't help but giving her Treats

Our normally reserved and level-headed panel of judges broke out in an ugly brawl over Princess's application. Half the panel said Princess is soooooo adorable and so athletic that she deserves to be a teapot regardless of a few ounces one way or the other. The other half, however, were fearful that she just beefed up at the end of a long hard winter and will rapidly regain her standard Yorkie physique now that spring is upon us.

I was called in to break the tie and pounced on the opportunity to stick it to Princess's mama for banning me on another thread. So the answer, for now, is NO! Should Princess maintain her newfound girth over the first half of the summer, her application will be reconsidered.

While we normally trust vets, we need to ensure it is not a European vet and the numbers you cite are kilograms or liters or whatever those foreigners use to weigh things. Pictures will put that to rest.

Max is 2 years old and Reggie???? well the shelter said he was 2 but now that I have had him for over a year he not only got heaver he got larger!!! As they both play together ALLLLLL the time both have no fat just muscle, wish I could say the same for myself
So if you could please take a look and judge for yourself I'm sure we could join the "special teapot club"

I think there's a "little" spoofing (tongue in cheek) that may be occurring.

But, just in case someone was actually serous, I'd like to offer a conversion.

If I may make an assumption...
Surely the honorable members of the TAC wouldn't want our European Furfamilies to feel excluded in any way, so, I looked up the Kilogram Equivalents.

7 Lbs = 3.1 Kg (actually it's 3.17514659 Kg)
7.1 Lbs = 3.2 Kg (actually it's 3.220505827 Kg)
