White Yorkie????

I've seen a white yorkie before also on listing on puppyfind.com. The woman didn't breed maltese only yorkies and it was stark white. It was beautiful!

I really didn't notice the size, I just noticed that there were a lot of bitches, at first I thought it was maybe the available puppy page, but then I noticed it was the parents pages. I also noticed the teacup. But yeah now that you mention it, they are small.

Not bashing you Bizzymammabee... just a little friendly FYI. Biewers (if they are from Germany) are from two full-blooded yorkies. The biewer has a recessive gene and are accepted by AKC as Yorkshire Terriers. (You just can't show them.) Germany and Canada recognize them as a separate breed, and Biewer owners are currently working with AKC to separate them out as a separate breed here in the USA. But a true Biewer is not a mix. I did a little research and spent some time on Biewer-Talk because of my Sammie. Both her parents are full-blooded yorkies, but she carries the recessive gene that biewers share. (After talking to the yorkie doctor associated with AKC, there are no color-related health issues with the true Biewer.) Maybe the white is a bit more recessive??? lol. But her face doesn't look 100% yorkie. She looks a little Maltese to me in the face???? I'm glad you're going to check with your vet. I'm interested in hearing what he has to say...

i sent an email to them to inquire. but the mess came back....she would not allow my email unless i was approved to send her email and you have to fill out a question sheet. she must get alot of ugly emails!!!!!

Thanks I will do. I had read or seen in a post that someone had said that they thought that Biewers were a mix of a yorkie and something else way back. So thanks for straightening it out. They are very pretty dogs.

I will definitely ask the vet tonight if it's possible. Hopefully he knows.

all breeds of dog are mixes, thats how they came about, a yorkie is a mix of other breeds way back.
so there really is no such thing as a pure bred yorkie weather the mum and dad are known as full blood yorkies.
and saying that i guess none of us really know that are yorkies are full blood as all we do is trust the breeder and pedigree but whos to say they told us the truth or that a stray mutt with a glint in his eye didnt take a fancy to the lady yorkie and took her on a date so to say
yorkies i said to be bred from the maltease and thats where the yorkies coat comes from so could be from way back or like others have said shes crossed them herself.
i think its cute though

I read that somewhere else on the forum but have never seen the Maltese mentioned in the Yorkshire Terrier history. I have several books here and the AKC site itself only mentions: the Waterside Terrier which was a cross of the Black and Tan English Terrier (aka Manchester terrier) and the Paisley and Cldesdale Terriers. It was once called a broken-haired Scotch Terrier.

The Maltese is actually a spaniel and originated in Malta. Do you know where the idea that there is Maltese in the Yorkshire Terrier came from?

But being so truely talented and creating her own bloodline of white yorkies she must not have time for the little people lol

wow she has a lot of dogs yikes the white yorkie just doesn't look right to me? and they have a white puppy in the sold page she could be mixing a white poodle with a maltese and calling it a white yorkie lol i don't know looks fishy

She had 28 adult dogs
How does she care for them all, and still have time to produce her "very own line of yorkies"?

Did anyone click on the teacup poodle page? It's sad Under the moms it says "I produce...." Like their friggin machines

This is just one of the people who are taken advanteg ofe the public who just wants the smallest dog and try to make money off of it. Oh and the music on these pages is making my head spin!

I think she she seems to think the short legs make the dog appear smaller, which is what people usually want.
