| Layla's dad was 3.5 lbs and her mom was 6.. so i knew she'd fall in there somewhere... we were jsut at the vet yesterday and she is whopping 5 lbs it's hard to believe because she is so tiny... but i knew buying her that the range of weight could be anywhere.. the vet said that should be it for growing.. .but it doesn't matter either way.. i paid the money that i paid for a healthy puppy.. and tha'ts what i got |

| My Gin-Gin will be 2 yrs old on July 17th and she is 4lbs. 3 oz. But I wouldn't care if she was 14 lbs. I would still be crazy about her..

| My new puppy Mckenzie is 12 weeks old and at her last visit w/the vet the day after I got her, she was nearly 2 lbs, although the breeder said she was 1.5. The vet did say she had a full tummy though, so I'm guessing 1.8 lbs is her 3 month weight. I hope she'll be a 4 lb baby. Her breeder mom said she would be shocked if she made it anywhere close to 5.. she predicts 3 1/2 but said you can never be sure. |

| There is no such thing as a mini yorkie. If your yorkie does end up under 7 pounds, it will be standard size, just like all the other yorkies under 7 pounds.

| My Archie is more than a year old now and for a long time there he was 3.5 pounds. Our last couple of vet visits, however, he has porked up to 4.2 pounds and seems to be holding at that weight. I don't usually think about him being super-tiny until I have him out for a walk and passersby marvel at how little he is -- or I see him in a photo in relation to people or outdoor surroundings and I am shocked by what a shrimp he is! I love that I can pick him up with one hand and do something else with the other! But, keeping it in perspective -- Yorkies are small dogs, period -- no matter if they are 4 pounds or 9 pounds -- in the dog world that's sooooooo small!

| Sukoshi is 8 months old and weighs 3 pounds, 1 ounce, although the vet told us last Friday that she's overweight for her size and needs to lose a little. It's amazing to me that a 3.1 pound dog could be OVERweight, but I don't want her little heart or organs to be overworked, so she's dieting now. He said I should always be able to slightly feel her ribs, and I can't anymore, so I'm keeping an eye on that so she doesn't lose too much. |

| Cookie is 3yrs old and weighs 3 lbs.He stopped growing around 8-9 months and only gained about 2 oz. by the age of 1yrs old. Angel is my new addition and he is 4 months old tomorrow. He already weighs 2 lbs and 1 oz! I'm thinking he will be around 3.5 lbs full grown. He has so much hair that he looks fatter than Cookie! lol I know the breeder told me he would be around 3 lbs full grown but I never felt that was going to be the outcome. I just saw how well he ate and I doubted it ! lol If your breeder guaranteed that his weight would NOT be bigger than 3 lbs and you got it in writing on how much she would refund, then I think you should get some $ back. But many breeders are honest and only say " This is an estimate according to the puppy's current weight at 8 weeks/12 weeks and the parents sizes... Here he is now: Angel Thomas (4months old tomorrow! 5/20/07) Genie Cookie Lola Angel |
