My Archie is more than a year old now and for a long time there he was 3.5 pounds. Our last couple of vet visits, however, he has porked up to 4.2 pounds and seems to be holding at that weight. I don't usually think about him being super-tiny until I have him out for a walk and passersby marvel at how little he is -- or I see him in a photo in relation to people or outdoor surroundings and I am shocked by what a shrimp he is! I love that I can pick him up with one hand and do something else with the other! But, keeping it in perspective -- Yorkies are small dogs, period -- no matter if they are 4 pounds or 9 pounds -- in the dog world that's sooooooo small!
