| ![]() I just went to check on the pups and as I was holding them, I noticed one of them having something the others didn't. The youngest pup seems to have 2 hard patches. One on each side of his collar bone. At first I thought it may be dried milk but it doesn't feel that way. It feels like scabs. It's rough feeling and he doesn't like me touching them. What could it be???

| ![]() Are you positive it's not dried milk??? That stuff dries like glue and feels scabby and is hard to get off. I thought my pups had scabs around their face until I discovered it was milk. Maybe take a warm damp cloth and moisten it a little and see if it softens up, after they eat when they are sleepy. Just a suggestion. I hope that's all it is! ![]()

| ![]() Ahh apparently its under his neck too. Its all hard and crusted. I cant peel it off and I cant wipe it off with a washcloth. He wont sit still. He's so strong for a little guy. It doesnt seem to hurt him, it just seems to annoy him when I try to mess with it.

| ![]() They are strong squirmy little things to be so tiny aren't they! Maybe try a warm wet cotton ball. Is mommy licking them and attempting to keep them clean??? Mine are almost six weeks old and Bitsy STILL can't stand it if something is on them and she cleans and licks til it's gone if I let her ![]()

| ![]() It probably is milk but I just cant seem to get it off. She's been good about keeping them clean except for this milk thing. She even licks them everytime they eat to help them potty. I guess she can't clean what she doesnt see and since its under his neck and collar bone she probably has no idea that its there. I can hold him up to her and she if she'll take care of it.

| ![]() That is a good idea! I hold my pups butt up to Bitsy's face and she'll clean them off after they poop and pee and I let her lick their faces after eating. She's either trying to clean their face or likes the taste of the food that they've eaten. Either way I win ![]() ![]() I hope it's nothing more than milk! Sometimes I still find a little dried spot around thier mouths and when I get it off they yelp even though I moisten it first ![]() ![]()

| ![]() lol it's probably milk on the little one. I held him up so she could lick him, which she did, but she didnt have much luck getting it off either. I tried peeling it off but that seems to pull his hair out and I dont wanna do that. So im just gonna leave it. It will either get cleaned in time, or when he gets his first bath (not sure how old they have to be for that) he will get one SERIOUS cleaning lol

| ![]() OK Good! At six days old I was scared to touch them, let alone get dried stuff off, LOL! Where in the heck are the experts on here!!!! If there is really something wrong with your baby and I told you it was dried milk...I am going to feel HORRIBLE! As long as it doesn't look like blood or a tumor or anything like that I think you are ok.....but I would sure feel better if someone else would post! Maybe it's dinner time everywhere?

| ![]() keep an eye on it, it could be ringworm do you have a cat in the house or other dogs that go outside? A litter caught ringworm because my persian got outside and brought it home (nice little gift NOT)...it starts out in small scabs, like you I thought it was dried milk at first because they were very young so I didnt have it looked at for a couple weeks "low and behold it was ringworm". I was shocked and let me tell you it was a true task to get rid of. Micazole rids it and you have to bleach everything in sight often. I hope its milk!
