| ![]() I've spoken to quite a few people about yorkie puppies. Everyone I've talked to has said that male yorkies are more affectionate, and that females can have more attitude. I was also told that females bond better with a male human and male dogs bond better with females. I'm not sure if this is true, but I decided on a male puppy after speaking with many yorkie owners. The clothes issue is the only thing I like better about females- so many more options!! Although, there are some really cute polo shirts and sweatshirts out there for boys! |

| ![]() When I was trying to decide whether to get a male or female.. EVERYONE.. said DONT GET A MALE.... and there #1 and only real reason was because to the Marking.... which I was SOOO afraid of ... but finally found pups but only had 2 males!!! I didnt know what to do,,,, BUt guess what I did... I took HIM home.... ![]() ![]() So Im so glad I got him... and did not listen to everyone... But, my neighbor had an Unneutered,,, 5 year old male,,, and he marks constantly!! SO thats one reason....

I agree with the others, I think the idea of dressing girls up in pink appeals to lots of people. I have both a boy and a girl, they are both lots of fun, but my boy is so much more afectionate. He will lay on my lap like a baby all day long if I let him while my girl is running around the house like a party animal lol.

I thought I would want to dress my little girl more, but my daughter (the female is hers) hates pink and I have only bought her one dress so far and it is a functional harness dress. It's real cute though!

| ![]() I dress Duke up all of the time, and he loves it! He has a variety of Hawaiian shirts, polo's, vests, sweaters, sweatshirts and jammies. I think that I have more fun shopping for clothes for Duke, than I do shopping for myself! ![]()

| ![]() I think that years ago when males were neither trained or neutered they were problems...marking and humping. That is not the case now--I can sell my males more quickly than my females. WHY? Cause I am a sincere lover of my boys. They bond better with their moms, they are needy and they don't have PMS. LOL I do not dress up any of my dogs-but that is another issue-- so that definitely is not an issue with me. Yorkie boys cannot be beat as pets.. Given the choice between the two, da boys get my vote!!! |

| ![]() I'll admit it. I wanted females because I wanted to put bows in their hair and dress them up and paint their toenails. All of which I do. It had nothing to do with marking or humping. |
