| can anyone answer????? I posted in the grooming section but no one has answered and I want an answer. (please) If you use a grooming table with noose, (around neck and hind end) can the noose cause any problems with it being around the neck? I don't want to cause a collapsed trachea and my pups tend to pull or try and lie down while being groomed. Anyone have any experience or advice? Thanks so much, impatient omega |

| I woulden't say it would cause too much discomfort on their necks, you can even get the softer ones that are suppose to be gentler on the neck. You do have to be careful if your dog is pulling and what you really have to be careful with is that you never leave your dog unattended on the table or give him much room on the table because he can jump off with the noose still around his neck which will strangle him, I have seen it happen many times before. So I guess it depends on your dog and how well you have control over him. I hope this helps.

| I would worry if they are constantly pulling on the noose that it might eventually cause damage to the trachea. But if they tend to lay down, I wouldn't think you'd need anything to restrain them. I sit on the floor with mine and groom them......kinda hard on my back but they are so relaxed and it makes the grooming regime more enjoyable. I also agree, NEVER EVER leave them unattended with or without a noose on a table.

| When I groom yorkies I put the noose behind their one leg and around the neck. This way there is no pressure on the neck kinda like a harness

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I always put Cali's around her waist and move it as I am combing her. I am too afraid of her little neck getting hurt. My Groomer actually told me to do that.
