I would worry if they are constantly pulling on the noose that it might eventually cause damage to the trachea. But if they tend to lay down, I wouldn't think you'd need anything to restrain them. I sit on the floor with mine and groom them......kinda hard on my back but they are so relaxed and it makes the grooming regime more enjoyable. I also agree, NEVER EVER leave them unattended with or without a noose on a table.
