| ![]() I had the carpet in my living room, dining area, and hallway removed just this past Tuesday and wood laminate flooring installed. The stuff I got looks like the wider planks and is a deep honey color. I love it already. I kept the carpet in the bedrooms. I, too was tired of cleaning carpet constantly. Lucy always tee tees on a pad, but she couldn't seem to ring the pad when she had a bm. Since I got Rebel and am going thru training all over again, I decided to make it easier on myself. Villette, It's never depressing when you post about your husband. It's what you live with every day and when you need to let it out, please do. That's what we're all here for.

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56834 If this link doesn't work, go about half down the page and find the thread titles, "Fancy, hereafter known as Pumpkin." It is really thick and is not the glue down type. it was put in really nice with a type of sub flooring under it. | |

| ![]() When we bought our cabin it had stained up old bluish/white (I think!) berber carpet...it was awful! We tore it up and installed cherry laminate flooring in every room except the bedroom...we put carpet in there. We use area rugs in the living room, dining room and my office area. The laminate is easy to care for and looks great all the time...it's taken a lot of abuse while we rebuilt this entire house and it still looks like new. I called the company who made it and they said to use glue on the seams in rooms that will get water liek the bathroom, laundry room and kitchen...we haven't had any trouble. Although my boyz are housetrained I still keep a litter pan with a wee-wee pad in it for emergencies. Here's what our floors look like... Sorry, I guess that's more rug than floor! |

| ![]() Kitchen I have vinyl. Living room and hall...carpet, and a good carpet cleaner that now stays parked in the hall ![]() So far Venus hasn't messed in my bedroom which is a wood floor I put down myself. I'm worried about the cracks in it. |

| ![]() I have vinyl in the kitchen, and hardwood in great room and den. Mine is real oak and after having laminate, I would never do it again. I know they make it better now, but hardwood is easier to keep clean. My cleaning person says that laminte is so hard to clean and have it shine. You have to dry the floors to make them look good. Hardwood you can also refinish as many times as you want, cause it is so thick it will last a life time. With four dogs and astma, I feel it is the best choice for us. I also know that replacing a damaged section of laminate is not for the do it yourslefer, and it does chip

| ![]() I have hardwood floors but I put a vinyl remnant down over it in the dog room since that floor gets mopped daily. Someday if I give up breeding all I have to do is pull up the remnant. I wouldn't want to see what wet newspaper would do to my hardwood flooring. |

We have stained concrete floors too! Don't you just LOVE them!!! We built on a den and an office and left the floors concrete and then stained them - they are just wonderful. This is where Rex and Rowdy spend most of their time and accidents just wipe up, no problem at all. The rest of the house is wood - I absolutely love the wood too. We've had a few accidents on the wood, with no problems at all. I will never never never never never have carpet in my house again!!!!!
