What kind of flooring do you all have.....? Hello, Can anyone out there with a few yorkies that aren't potty trained tell me what is the best type of flooring for them? I am tired of shampooing carpets every weekend. Thanks for any info. |

I have hardwood floors...it was a lot easier to clean up accidents on the hardwood than it was on the carpets. |
3 Attachment(s) I have Tile...my husband was in flooring and this was what he did when we moved into this house....He went a little nuts with granite & marble though - - I call it ....THE MAUSELEUM.... 2nd & 3rd pics are before and after of the kitchen which was still in progress when i took the pics |
wood floors are really easy to clean or tile |
4 Attachment(s) i have rugs in the living room and tile in the kitchen, both in bathroom |
Do the wood floors warp or anything from mopping them alot. What kind of hardwood do you have? Do you have problems with the pee getting into the grout on the ceramic tiles? I also have very light beige carpets, (well it is more like beige and yellow spots now) and I want to make sure this is the last time I have to do new floors because it is so expensive. It would be nice if I could just get the yorkies potty trained but that seems to be impossible. |
Wow Lexi Rae, you have a beautiful house. |

I know if you get the fake wood floors that they do turn ugly if they get wet too much. I don't know about real wood:confused: |
Villette, Since your husband was in the business, does he say ceramic tiles are the best option then? My vet was telling me about some kind of flooring that is awesome. They said it looks like wood and it real thick. I thought they said it was kinda like a vinyl or something but I dont remember what they called it. I forgot to add that I love your tile Villette. i love the shiny mixed in with the regular. It is beautiful. |
I have hardwoods. It doesn't warp because you damp mop it. You can't you a soaking wet mop. If Moll misses the pad I wipe it up with a paper towel and then go over it with a lysol wipe.:) |

We have the heavy vynil floor that looks like hardwood and also like 12" tile. It is great. Much more give to it than regular vynil. And you don't have to glue it down. It is so thick it lays down perfect. We just love it. We got ours at Lowe's. They have alot of patterns to choose from. And the price is great, 10.00 to 13.00 a yard. And this stuff is tuff. I tried to tear a piece and couldn't. Regular vynil is easy to tear. And it's textured. The hardwood looks and fills just like wood. And the tile has grout lines and feels just like real tile. And this is sheet vynil. It comes in 12 ft. wide rolls. They cut to your lenght. |
I don't recommend the vynal that has the sticky thing in the back if you know what im talking about cause those sometimes come loose with water. |
