Yes same litter & same disorder Gia's just was treated sooner so hers isn't that bad, Chewy on the other hand wasn't treated for the demodex as soon so his is worse And there are two more litter mates that may have the same thing going on

| I'm sure it's not too late to get the money from AKC insurance. Anyway most insurances you have to pay upfront, fill out the claim form for a reimbursement.

I just found that out today when she posted that she had AKC insurance , i never knew that & she never told me. Maybe if she would have gotten back to me last week instead of being too busy to answer any of her emails I turned the bills into VPI for Gia & Chewy's policy doesn't go into affect until the 9th of November I don't think your picking on me

| I'm downloading the claim form now (thanks GIRLS for the heads up). I'm also going to the vet now to pick up the lab results so I can post them. It's not all about the money (yes it does hurt coming up off of almost 400.00 in a matter of days) but the point here is I trusted someone & they betrayed me & when I needed them they disappeared (only to reappear a week later & state I'm a liar). I have every right to be upset & for numerous emails to go unanswered & to be told that Chewy DID NOT have Demodex (only to find out he had it & even more) really has ticked me off. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else that's why I'm so persistent on showing that I did nothing wrong & that I'm not lying about Chewy's medical problems. Yes his aliments can be cured in time but that doesn't take away from the fact that I was not told the whole truth about this pup before he got here. As far as I'm concerned there is no communication between Lisa & I when needed her she was not there Like I said earlier who ever wants to believe they can & who ever does not (that's fine too) . I'm not here to bad month anyone but in this case I felt I had to, if this was anyone else here I'm quite sure they would be just as upset as I am. I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else it really sucks going through this |

| One more thing before I leave here where all the emails I sent her & didn't get a response Subject: (no subject) Date: 10/18/2006 2:35:25 PM Eastern Standard Time From: UCeECaNdYcE Reply To: To: carteryorkies@yahoo.com CC: BCC: Sent on: Sent from the Internet (Details) Internet Address Card Attached Hi Lisa I took Gia to the vet today and turns out she has demodex mite. I've never heard of this before but the vet told me to get in contact with you because this is hereditary. And Chewy may end up with the same thing. Right now Gia is at the vet (I had to leave her there) because she's going to have to get special baths & deeps every two weeks until it clears up. The worse that can happen is her hair will have to end up getting shaved off. The vet said it's nothing you did, or I did that the mite lives in the air and usually pups immunity systems are strong enough to fight it off, but for some reason Gia's wasn't Do you think Chewy will end up with this? the vet said hold off on getting him because if he comes here & he has the same kind of gene he will pick it up from Gia Subject: (no subject) Date: 10/18/2006 2:44:26 PM Eastern Standard Time From: UCeECaNdYcE Reply To: To: carteryorkies@yahoo.com CC: BCC: Sent on: Sent from the Internet (Details) Internet Address Card Attached Here's an article about it http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/dem.html Subject: Here's more articles & what she's being treated with Date: 10/18/2006 7:29:23 PM Eastern Standard Time From: UCeECaNdYcE Reply To: To: carteryorkies@yahoo.com CC: BCC: Sent on: Sent from the Internet (Details) Internet Address Card Attached http://www.drlarrypetvet.com/health_mange.html http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&A=1556 http://www.peteducation.com/article....articleid=1376 This is what they are treating her with http://www.1800petmeds.com/pdetail.asp?SK=10223 Do you think Chewy & Gia mom may have passed it to them? Did she ever have mites? Subject: Flight Information (sorry for all the emails) Date: 10/19/2006 7:05:03 PM Eastern Standard Time From: UCeECaNdYcE Reply To: To: carteryorkies@yahoo.com CC: BCC: Sent on: Sent from the Internet (Details) Internet Address Card Attached Sorry for all the emails but I haven't heard back from you. I know you must be busy because you always get back to me. Just to confirm Chewy's flight information for tom (Oct 20th) Chewy will leave Albany at 10:22am and arrive in Newark at 3:07pm His flight number is 4534 And his reference number is 04495072 Just send me a short email so I know you got this. i have a real crazy day tom so once I leave in the morning I won't be back home until i pick Chewy up from the airport. Candy Subject: Chewy is here Date: 10/20/2006 11:01:10 PM Eastern Standard Time From: UCeECaNdYcE Reply To: To: carteryorkies@yahoo.com CC: BCC: Sent on: Sent from the Internet (Details) Internet Address Card Attached Chewy didn't arrive until 7pm tonight his flight was delayed we had some bad weather today. I don't know if he got car sick or air sick but he threw up in the car seat on the way home. His skin looks really bad, his hair looks super thin to , has he been losing hair? I'm taking him to the vet first thing in the morning because his skin really needs to be looked at, his skin looks exactly how Gia's was starting to look, but his looks worse. Was he ever tested for worms? I'm going to try to get a stole sample from him. We gave him a bath because he was smelling so bad, he is the complete opposite of Gia (as far as personality). Chewy seems to be more quite & low key while Gia on the other hand is a little live wire (all over the place). I hope his skin impoves , Gia is doing much better her skin still has to heal but she's doing better. Subject: A shame before God Date: 10/21/2006 6:15:56 PM Eastern Standard Time From: UCeECaNdYcE Reply To: To: carteryorkies@yahoo.com I took Chewy to the vet today, and come to find out (which I know you already know) He has ear mites, demodex, skin infection on top of the demodex because he wasn't properly treated in time for the demodex, and a fever. We are still waiting on his stole sample to come back I wouldn't be surprised if he has worms. This is really a shame before God how mistreated this dog was. He is afraid of any physical contact or to even be pet. I don't know what kind of business your running but it's definitely not for the care of the breed just the $$$$. It's so fun you kept in contact with me when you wanted your money but when it came down to the health & welfare of these pups your to busy to answer any email (that's a bunch of crock). You didn't call or email to see if Chewy made it in safely. His hair has come out in the areas where the infection spread (including around his mouth). I spent 200.00 at the vet today just to get him meds & to get him seen. I won't even try to ask for compensation from you but it would be fair if you did. I will be contacting your vet to see why Chewy was cleared to fly (I still have Gia's paper work with the name & address on your veterinarian). He still has to go through the same dippings Gia does & he's going to be on meds for a while. It is safe to say Chewy is a puppymill pup. I will be contacting the BBB & AKC to make them aware of this whole situation. Chewy would have been dead in a few weeks if I hadn't gotten him. I had faith & trusted you to be a good breeder. I trusted you so much I brought a second dog from you. Chewy's aliments where to far gone for you to have not known something was wrong, the medicine you sent wasn't even the correct medication. His ears have gone up within a matter of hours after giving him ear mite drops, so what the heck were you doing? I must get him revaccinated because I can't even take your word that he was given proper vaccinations. I am very dissatisfied with your business & your work ethics I really feel so for the pups who can't be sold within the first few months because they seems to be kicked to the curb. That mother needs not to be bred again because she is passing along the gene of demodex mites & the two other litter mates may also suffer from the same thing. I only can pray they have responsible owners who will recognize something isn't right & take them to the vet & get them treated. |

| Just got back from the vet with all the medical records & doctors notes, I will be scanning those (it's going to take a while but i will get them up) I manged to snap a couple pics of Chewy , he's real down right now & he doesn't want to be next to anyone so he just is under the bed (his confidence is shot & i can see why) but I still love him . i wanted to get a good shot of the demodex & show how it was all over his body (but the doctor notes back me up) but you can kind of see in the pics where the demodex is (it's the real red spots) . Be back in a few Last edited by karmaistrue; 10-27-2006 at 12:30 PM. |
