I especially liked those parts myself, I have to admit. I also thought the mention of my acquaintences at the American Embassy, was a nice touch! LOL
But in all seriousness, this is a BIG scam from Nigeria. Not as profitable as the scams promisng a love relationship or fast cash made through fake lotteries or stock, but never the less, still a big money maker for these jerks.
I have been all over internet, in the past month searching all kinds of sites dealing with Yorkies. There are TONS of people out there scamming with the promise of a small puppy. Yorkies seem to be a BIG favorite, followed by Chihuahuas.
They even have the gall to copy and paste pictures of puppies from legit sites and send them as "pictures" of "your" future baby.
I had a picture emailed to me for a "prospective" puppy, that I then saw 2 days later on a legit Yorkie breeder's site. I immediately emailed the woman and gave her the guys name and email address.
I hate to say it, but there are tons of everyone's adorable babies on this site starting from birth on up; I would not be surprised if pictures from here are copied and emailed as "available babies" to "potential buyers". These jerks are lower than pond scum.
Ironically enough, from the various info I have been gaining, most of them are college educated people who can not get a job. So this is a full time job for them--scamming people. The North Americans and the British are their 2 main targets, because we are countries that have a much higher average income, compared to many other countries.
College educated or not, there are tell tale signs, that I wish I knew about a month ago. These are:
If the grammar and sentence structure sounds like it is someone whom English is not their native language; If they mention Christians, Christianity, Missionaries, etc; If they use the term God Bless You; and if they are from another country, especially Africa------------RUN, do not walk away! 'Cause it is scam, NO doubt about it!

When I was looking for Shadow, I too was scammed from the "Africian, humaniterian" thing...I almost went through with it cus I had no idea about the scammer, thing....(my 1st time buying a yorkie) thank God, I didn't do it. My son told me, I don't know mom, sounds fishy to me and so he changed my mind. We ended up going to NJ, We live in PA for Shadow...These ppl need to be stopped!

These scams are bringing in billions to Nigeria..all over the TV lately...one guy told me I could come pick up the puppy..but I had to send the entire price before I arrived..of course they would have given a false address..give no money up front unless you know the breeder.

When I was looking for my puppy...i tried so many different websites and i got soooo many responses all saying the same thing.....First and most importantly when they say they only take Money Gram or Western Union this like those that is a RED light right there....you always have to have proof of what you are purchasing...Also when the ad says they are in one area and then all of a sudden they are away and happen to have the pup w/ them...I went through so many disappointments but I never sent money to anyone I was very careful...but there was times when i would be so excited that i thought i had found a legit person and then come to find out its a scam and be heartbroken.....here are a few of the emails pple send me when i was looking for my furbabyyy i made the mistake of deleteing about 10 other ones from different pple b4 i knew of this site....wish i hadnt so i could of helped you guys....HOPE this Helps a little ...

The pups I advertised has been adopted by one Mrs Bessie Dredge from Alaska and the pups is doing quite well with her and her family accoring to her recent update about the pups welfare at her home.
I want to refer you to one Rev. George Janvier who associates with Serving In Mission (SIM by ECWA) USA. He bought two puppies from me as well. He has been transfered to West Africa in continuation to his missionary/humanitarian work. He went there with the two puppies he bought from me. Unfortunately, Africa is not the place for these types of dogs.
He contacted me some days ago to find a caring parent that will adopt the dogs back to the USA. He has no time for them, the african weather is so harsh according to him and this is really troubling him and his mission in West Africa.

Gizmo...how wonderful that you had educated yourself enough that you had recognized their scam right away.

I get a kick out of how they said the puppies were 'cross examined' lol. Did they shine a bright light in their eyes when they asked them questions? lol Those scammers are just too much. And if we were to believe them, the country of Nigeria must be absolutely overrun with American missionaries!

I wish there were a way that these people could be stopped, but I guess the best way is to educate people so that they don't send them money. Sadly, and according to what they say on tv, the scammers are making thousands if not millions of dollars...that's why they keep doing it. If only more people could be educated about this. If the scammers stopped making money, they'd stop scamming.

Yeah i love oregon. Its so pretty. i have never really been anywhere else besides california and idaho and i think i would move to idaho for a change but i would have to be able to move back whenever i wanted lol
