I especially liked those parts myself, I have to admit. I also thought the mention of my acquaintences at the American Embassy, was a nice touch! LOL
But in all seriousness, this is a BIG scam from Nigeria. Not as profitable as the scams promisng a love relationship or fast cash made through fake lotteries or stock, but never the less, still a big money maker for these jerks.
I have been all over internet, in the past month searching all kinds of sites dealing with Yorkies. There are TONS of people out there scamming with the promise of a small puppy. Yorkies seem to be a BIG favorite, followed by Chihuahuas.
They even have the gall to copy and paste pictures of puppies from legit sites and send them as "pictures" of "your" future baby.
I had a picture emailed to me for a "prospective" puppy, that I then saw 2 days later on a legit Yorkie breeder's site. I immediately emailed the woman and gave her the guys name and email address.
I hate to say it, but there are tons of everyone's adorable babies on this site starting from birth on up; I would not be surprised if pictures from here are copied and emailed as "available babies" to "potential buyers". These jerks are lower than pond scum.
Ironically enough, from the various info I have been gaining, most of them are college educated people who can not get a job. So this is a full time job for them--scamming people. The North Americans and the British are their 2 main targets, because we are countries that have a much higher average income, compared to many other countries.
College educated or not, there are tell tale signs, that I wish I knew about a month ago. These are:
If the grammar and sentence structure sounds like it is someone whom English is not their native language; If they mention Christians, Christianity, Missionaries, etc; If they use the term God Bless You; and if they are from another country, especially Africa------------RUN, do not walk away! 'Cause it is scam, NO doubt about it!
