There is another thing that REALLY bothers me. I have this (sort of in-law) that comes here and I treat him like gold and he just cant be bothered with my babies! I freekin hate that! He is just so COLD to them and it bothers me no end. Ive come very close to throwing him out or telling him...just dont come here anymore because of this......These are my BABIES and I just cant stand this attitude towards them. Well you know what He definately does NOT get the gold treatment from me anymore. I could give a *&^% if he ever comes here aagain.

I have 4 dogs, 3 poodles and a yorkie, and when people see me with all of them they ask if all those dogs are mine? I always reply that I belong to them. Or they gasp "4 dogs!" Then the inevitable question about how much the teacup poodle and yorkie cost, I use to answer and then they knew for sure I was crazy. Now I tell them they were gifts from my husband, and pretend I have no idea how much they were.

What is wrong with these people? I don't ask them how much their coat or car or whatever cost, its just plain rude and owning four dogs is not the worst crime I can think of, a lot of work yes, but also a lot of joy. I 'm not asking them for help with them.

Guess they need a life of their own, or maybe a yorkie or poodle or both

I like the answer of " They are gifts from my husband" Because I can't stand when people ask how much they cost... That is just so nosey, so rude!!!
And yes, I know about the reaction of how many dogs you have. I have 1 Golden Retriever and 3 Yorkies! Like you said, A lot of work, but LOADS and LOADS of enjoyment and LOVE

They don't quite know what to say at that point, now if they were jealous of my dogs they have another thing to be jealous of, and that is a good relationship with my husband. It usually shuts them up and moves them along.
Feel free to use it!

Now I know I'm not very tolerant of badly behaved kids, I'm not a parent myself and have no intention of being one and yet I can kind of forgive kids because he's adorably cute and I want to pet him every time I see him too and they have to be taught to behave.

But my REAL pet peeve is when the parents are there, and I'm trying to get the kids to calm down (ie: "let him sniff your hand first" or "sit on the ground and let him come to you") that they parents don't do anything to enforce the boundaries I'm laying out. Allowing there kids to get away with anything and then glaring at me if I have the cheek to be firm with their kids.

I had one kid who kept trying to pick him up and squeeze my dog, which obviously I don't allow, and his mother actually "tisk" at me when after telling her kid three times he couldn't pick up my dog, and he still does, I used a firm voice and told him "No!" and took the dog off him.

Now I just avoid walking him after 3pm until it gets dark to ensure I don't have to deal with that.
That would definitly piss me off, I wouldve probably said a few choice words to the parent too. Yesterday at petsmart this little boy kept coming up to Rocky, first he sat on the ground and Rocky ran up to him in his arms, but he was by the ground so I didn't care. Then I was talking to a lady with a Lahso Apso and Rocky was sniffing out her dog, and this kid comes around and just picks him up like Rocky's his! I grabbed Rocky from him and told the kid "He doesn't want to be picked up" and the kid walked away. I felt so bad, my baby was trying to get away and this kid thought it was his dog!! I couldn't get too mad, the kid was young, but the parents should have been with him (the whole time in the store I never saw the kids parents)

I dont think she was trying to be homophobic, gay men do take a lot of pride in their appearance, and it isn't normally the type of clothes and shoes straight men would wear. and i always use the term ''gay'', i have a lot of gay friends and my sil's brother is gay, they dont mind the term gay. I dont think she meant to upset anyone

Oh yes-lots of pet peeves we have! I too, get (and can't stand) the:

-Kids who try to pick up my puppy
-Parents that don't enforce rules you lay out for their kids when it comes to your own dog
-People who feel free to touch/kiss her without asking
-The "How much did she cost?" question
-The big dogs off leashes

I also get tired of the "oooohhh look at the puppy!!!" like you're not even there, but yet the people who say it get offended if you don't stop and let them pet the puppy. If you want to see her, just ASK!!!

..And then there's the rolling of the eyes when she's wearing clothes or a hair clip, or is in her bag with me somewhere where she IS allowed. I don't see anything wrong with it, it's my dog!!

Ugh!!! I can't stand that either! We work hard to get their coat looking nice and someone messes it up!

It's when people make comets on me buying pee pads. Why don't you save your money & let them go outside. Then I have to go into detail about them getting bit by fireants. I don't want to take a chance. Blah Blah Blah. That's my pet peeve.
