| Smart cookie you got there in schatzie! It's getting to be that time where it seems to be always wet, we've considered getting some booties, but Yoda is just so darn fussy! |

| I ordered a few things for Toto online last night! Can't wait to start her getting used to them! I would imagine that she would like boots since she loves her little feet to be massaged! Since we rarely allow her on the ground she may not need them! We are really excited!! [well, at least one of us is ... Toto just knows that she can't find her Papa and she "ain't happy"!!]

http://www.petco.com/product_info.as...+%2D+Soft&ct3= My baby Cookie and I flew in August and I bought this carrier for her called the Petmate Portable Pet Home. Noone knew I had a doggie until she would start moving, it was quite amusing!!! At checkin the counter agent said Ok now I see here you are travelling w/ a pet where is it? I had the bag in my hand the whole time and she couldn't believe how tiny and adorable...she asked me to take her out so she could see her...LOL! Well during the beginning of the flight she was in her home but she was shaky so I unzipped the home and let her keep her head out. She slept most of the flight and she didn't bark at all. I mean she doesn't usually bark so I didn't expect her to. Well the Portable Pet Home is a soft-carrier so its comfortable enough to keep on your lap during the flight. I couldn't bring myself to stuff her under the seat although it meets the required dimensions. The flight attendants didn't say anything until we were close to landing then I had to return her to her home. Oh yeah I made sure to bring a blanket and I covered her while she slept on my boyfriends chest at times during the flight also. Its funny how she just started yawning like a human would to make her ears pop... -RubyC | |

| RubyC .... thank you so much!!! I am worrying so much for her! We should have already flown with her, if for no other reason than to familiarlize her with it but we just haven't! If we have had a little time to spare, my Patrick has been so "posessed" by the camping bug ... that's all he has had on his mind! I'm not a camper but have gone just to try to understand it! Most of the time "I just don't get it"! We are inseperable so I am giving it my best shot! The great thing which has come of it is ... Toto was a consolation prize [and quite a distraction] when we bought the Casita [trailer] and we also met Mary Ellen & Don [Higgin's Mom] at a "Rally" down in Florida!! That was worth it all!!! Toto has the Petmate Portable Pet Home but I was afraid that they wouldn't accept it because it didn't have the carry handles! Darn!! I could've used one she was already familiar with!! I have already ordered one ... the Sherpa Lite. I wanted her to have time to get used to it before the trip. Now I have another crisis ... my husband is showing signs of "Mountain Sickness" already [he only got there yesterday!]. Our first experience with it was about six years ago ... I thought I would die .... in fact, I was so sick I prayed to die!! I don't know if it affects our pets but I will find out before we go! Just to be prepared!Again, thank you so much for sharing your experience ... I feel so much better now ... maybe I will be lucky and have flight attendents that will be a little lenient!
