| How is everyone? I have been studying an barely surfacing even to get on the internet, so I was just wondering how everyone is doing. Any cute stories or pictures to share? And of course how are all of your wonderful, adorable, spoiled babies? It's cold and raining here, so we are all stuck in the house and going a little stir crazy. I ordered Misha and Gabby some clothes to keep them warm, but when it is wet they still have to stay in. It was in the high 80's, low 90's yesterday, and now today it is cold and almost snowing. How are you all preparing your babies for the winter months? Gabby's ears just stood up all of the sudden the other day, so I am having to adjust to this new change to her little face. We went to my grandparents ranch in New Mexico last weekend and Gabby got to meet the whole family and run crazy outside without a leash. She didn't back down from the grumpy cat or the chocolate lab! She is a little daredevil, she isn't scared of anything, but she sure enjoys trying to scare me to death. I can't wait to hear from you all. |

| They really DO love running around outside! Our little grandpuppy, Princess the Chihuahua, is an apartment dog, and she put on lots of muscle running around our big yard in the country while she was visiting this last week. She just LOVED being outside. Higgins has been so sad without her all afternoon (she went home just after lunch) that we have decided to take him to the Maine woods and go camping for a few days. We're all loaded and ready to take off in the morning for Flagstaff Lake, which is kind of in the wilds of Maine and promises to be very relaxing for all of us. Take care of all your furbabies and we'll see ya when we get back! |

| Welcome back, Mishasmom!!! I know all that studying will pay off!! Aren't you in Colorado ... if so where are you? My husband is leaving for Glenwood Springs tomorrow and Toto and I will join him on November 2. We will be there for quite a while working on a project. We are going to try and find others near there who have small dogs that perhaps Toto can play with ... that's the only thing we can't provide her ... socialization with other little dogs! We just don't know anyone nearby with a pet except our son's Border Collie ... Missy is as spoiled as Toto and really jealous so she won't play with her at all!

| Yoda's just been chilling. He got his last haircut, a puppy summer cut (all shaved except for tail and face), but I think we're gonna let him grow it out to be warm for fall and winter, but of course he has a ton of clothes as well. It's getting rather cold and dreary and rainy here in Seattle already! |

| Higgin's Mom, I hope that you and Higgins enjoy your camping trip, poor little guy I am sure that he does miss his friend (maybe you need another yorkie to keep him company) . It is funny how much they enjoy being around other dogs, they are so human like that it is scary sometimes. |

| Yeah, it snowed last year and we put Yoda down. He didn't like the coldness of the snow and started shivering, even with a sweater on. We let him play indoors after that. |

| Two years ago it snowed her like crazy, which is fine, but it was accompanied by really cold strong wind so it was horrible! Then last winter it was really nice and only snowed maybe 3 times, it has rained a lot though. I'm not sure how my two will react to the snow, but I think that Gabby will just hop around and play in it. I swear sometimes it is hard to tell if I have a yorkie on the leash or a bunnie she hops so much. |

| We are looking forward to Colorado! We were there in October about 6 years ago ... but ... didn't have our Yorkie baby! Toto adjusts to our travel and crazy lifestyle for the most part but this will be her first time to fly and only her second winter! She didn't like the snow in Missouri last year although we didn't let her get in it, we took her out to see it and let her taste it! Right now she is just so sad missing her Papa! We will join him there Nov. 2 and although he has only been gone for a day, her sad little face breaks my heart .... she wanders around the house looking for him!! Meantime I'm reading everything I can to help her with flying, shopping for the best little crate for under the seat, spoke with her breeder and got lots of good advice, scheduling her yet another vet visit before we go and fervently praying that the flight attendants will have tender hearts and will let me get her out at least a little during the flight!! Thank goodness she doesn't bark ... but ... she has the tiniest little baby cry that sounds like a newborn baby. Now ... THAT sound breaks my heart!!

| It is so amazing that winter is just around the bend! This will be Schatzie's first winter. Arkansas can go either way in temps. But usually freezing! She has TOO MANY winter outfits and even summer outfits. We had a 1.2 ounce baby Yorkie I became addicted to E-Bay doggie clothes and won way too many auctions. Anyway, our little baby only lived with us one week before she passed away. So, she never was able to wear any of her clothes. Now Schatzie is so much bigger, (4 pounds now at 5 months) and most of the clothes are too small. I think a few of the winter outfits will work however. So, if anybody needs the most adorable little doggie outfits in the world that will fit upto a 3 pound little one, just let me know. I just don't have a clue as to what I am going to do with it all. It is so fun to SPOIL these little ones. Infact, Schatzie just got a pair of goggles (called doggles) the other day. She actually likes them and wears them. I have pictures but am too stupid to figure out how to link them to the forum!! She is adorable in them. Anyway, she wears them while she sits in her backpack that I wear in front of me and she rides with my husband and I on our motorcycle. ( I know, most of you are cringing right now). However, I look at it this way. Schatzie is with me in our truck 4 hours a day or more. An accident could happen just as easy in that truck as on the motorcycle that only gets rode maybe once a week. Anyway - she loves it!! As long as she is with me life is good for her!! She is definatley my "velcro dog" as some of you refer to. I adore her and love spending every minute of my day with her. I hope she can handle the winter ok - she has chosen outdoor potting over pee-pee pads so we might be investing in some snow boots for her. (don't laugh, our Annabelle Schnauzer has boots _. Keeps her feet warm and dry! |

| WOW, a real biker chick Yorkie! That might be quite a sight to see, passerbys must do a double take when they see that! Yes, we got Yoda some Doggles too, but he HATES em! He can't stand to wear anything around his face I guess. He loves his jewelry (and boy, does his Momma get him a lot of that) and clothes, but no Doggles! And they look so cute on him, too... Maybe if we get him more and more comfortable with it he'll like it. How did you get Schatzie to wear the Doggles? Last edited by fasteddie; 09-24-2004 at 08:38 AM. |

| Brrrrrrrrr!!! Just spoke with my husband, Patrick, and he is the other side of Denver, nearing Glenwood Springs [destination] and he said he just drove through freezing rain and is seeing snow!!! The Toto and I are going to freeze our tails off!!! We will probably see lots of it by the time we are there on Nov. 2! Shatzie ... now how did you get your Annabelle to wear those boots!? I will begin shopping for Toto more clothes immediately! She flatly refused to wear them last winter in Missouri but maybe if I begin now to make her wear at least coats and sweaters she will tolerate them by then. She is just a "bad girl" and likes to go naked! It didn't take me but a few minutes to learn to "layer" when we were in Chicago!! I'm so thankful that I decided to leave Toto's coat long ... at least she will have that and all her fleece blankies!

| Well, my husband about died the boots came in the mail for Annabelle. They are sooo cute. I mainly got them for the colder times when we camped. We would hike and the trails would be muddy, stickery, etc. The first day I put them on, velcro around the sides to keep them on. She walked funny. Cracked us all up. But after about 5 minute's she acted like she had her normal feet back. She learned real quick that if she wore her boots I wouldn't have to clean her feet up each time before coming back into the travel trailer when we camped. I have yet to get Schatzie boots, but she has everything else from dresses, hats, panties, shirts, sweaters, jewerly, even goggles for her motorcycle rides. She just goes with the flow. Keep warm in CO. Oh my goodness, it seems so strange to be hearing about snow already. Ours here will be coming before we know it. |
