| Does this make sense to you ? ok i 'm having problems wt royce because he starts crying and yelling when i leave for work, so I decided to seek the services of a dog therapist . she came today she stay foran hour an a half did a whole evaluation by asking tons of questions, the did some tests on royce to see if he is submissive/emotional.....at the end I asked her how she will solve this separation anxiety problem and she said by teaching him "stay command" ( in the sense that when mom leaves you have to stay where you are and she will come back ) It sounds weird to me i think it takes a lot more to solve a separation anxiety problem . do you thing i'm just wasting my money ? She recommended that Royce stops sleeping in my bed because from the way he looks at me she said he is very attached to me ???? |

| Oh my goodness....I just looked at your pictures of Royce and how could you NOT have that little man sleeping with you every night?! AND OF COURSE he loves you!!!!!!!! That is what yorkies do!!!! They are snuggly loving babies!!!!!! As for the separation anxiety issue, I'm still thinking on it. But I think you should STILL let Royce sleep in bed with you, especially if you are gone all day at work. This is the time that Royce has to bond with you. I wouldn't take that time away from him. |

| Sorry I'm making SO many posts here, but I really want to get little Royce's problem solved bc I want you to be able to keep him. Here is an EXCELLENT website I found about dog separation anxiety. It offers a variety of things you can do to help solve this problem. One of the things is crating him. Here is the site: http://www.wagntrain.com/SeparationAnx.htm |

I agree. Especially after reading the site I posted, I am thinking that Royce may just be overwhelmed with the large area that he has to roam around in. Maybe you could get him a larger wire crate and put a nice bed in there, a wee wee pad, food, water, toys, ect. He may feel more comfortable and secure in an enclose space like a wire crate, but not too small like a small plastic crate. | |

| good question. Personally, my dogs are FINE and they both sleep in the bed with me. Some nights they sleep in their crates, it just depends on how active they've been that day and if they'll go to bed that night with me. But I crate trained my guys and have NEVER had an anxiety problem b/c of that. They know that when I leave, I leave, and I WILL come back for them. I would try crate training your baby while you're gone and leave a special treat and toy that they ONLY get in the crate. Hope that helps!
