We blocked off our kitchen for her so she could have a good size area to roam in....litter box, food, water, toys and a cushy bed...I feel this area may be too overwhelming for her as she whines terribly when I put her in there. I now put her in a playpen...with toys, bed, pee pad and water...this seems to be better for her....Have you tried the tv? or radio? If nothing else works...Maybe get another furbaby!!

I agree. Especially after reading the site I posted, I am thinking that Royce may just be overwhelmed with the large area that he has to roam around in. Maybe you could get him a larger wire crate and put a nice bed in there, a wee wee pad, food, water, toys, ect. He may feel more comfortable and secure in an enclose space like a wire crate, but not too small like a small plastic crate.
