| I agree that the fleas are in your yard. You can either get an exterminator to come and spray your yard or you can get these granuals at Walmart that you just sprinkle on your yard to get rid of the fleas. I think they cost about $10. At least the fall season is coming...that means that flea season is almost over! I can't wait! |

| There is also a heartguard...... product that makes it so the fleas cannot reproduce. It's called Sentinel and you just give it once a month as a heartguard prevention. I don't have to use any other flea protection on mine and we have lots of them here. It's a little more expensive than the heartguard but I really like it. I use it on all 3 of mine. It's an older product that a coworker told me about and the vet said it would be fine. Has anyone else ever heard of it or used it? |

| My problem is that i put him on the Frontline plus last month cause i took him to a groomer and she found fleas on him, which i never seen before and then they gave him a flea bath the poor thing's skin was so dry and flaky i had to put him on frontline plus cause when i got back from the groomers i found a flea on him. I hadnt seen a flea on him for about a month till saturday i saw one on his head everytime i come from outside i comb him with a flea comb i even get a lint brush the one's that are like tape and i pass that on his bead and never find anything it frustrates me too. At night i hear him scratching and i wake up to comb and check him for some but never find any. I dont know if he's scratching from the fleas or from his dry skin which my vet gave me a shampoo for and it's not working i need help please

| i had the same problem with advantage... the vet said it has nothing to do with the meds, they're working... it's when you have an infestation of fleas does it get out of control, when that happens, the meds cannot control it. I would suggest wearing a pair of white socks and walking around your house, and next to your lawn. I had an infestation on my lawn that required the spraying of quite a large plot of land. TWICE!! After I had done this, no more fleas on Lola, or on us. If you go outside in your socks and see little black fleas jumping on you, my guess is your infestation is mainly outside, but you're bringing the fleas inside (either you or your pup). Lola had about 20 fleas every time i checked until i fixed the source of the problem and had the OUTSIDE lawn sprayed by a professional. If you do decide to hire somebody, please make sure they have a warantee.. totally worth it. They will come back and spray until not one flea remains... inside and outside your house... just my two cents, and something to think about... its nearly wintertime, and fleas will naturally go into a resting phase... so... ANyhow, good luck with it all... fleas SUCK!! |
