Before I moved this summer to where I am living now, all I had to use was Sentinel. I NEVER had to use Frontline or any topical solution before. But, when we moved into our apartment this summer, my dogs got infested with fleas!
It is because they were getting LIVE fleas from outside in the yard and the Sentinel doesn't get rid of LIVE fleas...it only prevents the live fleas from reproducing. So, we use Sentinel as their heartworm prevention, but we also have to use Frontline to get rid of the live fleas that they catch out in the yard.
