| skunk smell..YUCK! Ahia got hit by a skunk. I tried tomato juice. It worked pretty good but the house........oh the house! she ran up stairs and rubbed her self all over the bed. I have changed the sheets and threw them in the washer. sprayed all kinds of freshener thru the house. it is every where!. I grew up in the hills of W.Va. and have never experienced this before. move to civilization and look what happens. those of you who got sprayed not too long ago... how long did it take to get it out of your house?

| YIKES! That's terrible! That's even worse than when all my dogs rolled in rotton eggs and then ran in the house to rub on the couch and carpet. I have seen a skunk solution made by Nature's Miracle in Petsmart or Petco. I wonder how well that works?? Might be worth a try! Good luck! |

| Oh darn! I feel for you! I don't have any advice, but I know of a family who had a skunk get into their home and spray and they had to get professional cleaners in. If all else fails, try calling around to cleaning places and see if they can give you some hints. Good luck!

| My house got sprayed 3 times in a row a couple years ago. Our outside dog would mess with the skunk and then run into our porch and the skunk followed. I cleaned everything with straight Pine Sol.

*From experience, I know this one works very well. The only thing we add is the Massengil Vinegar and Water douche as a final rinse and around the face. | |

| The formula Nicole (BabyFidgette) gave you is the same one I have to de-skunk your baby. For you house, you can use chlorine bleach, ammonia or a commercial products containing neutroleum alpha. I have no idea what this actually is, just have it on my emergency information. Good luck!!

| thanks everyone for the advice. I washed everything ...and I mean everything. took me all day to do all of this. white vinegar. I even boiled some in a pan for about 15 minutes several times today. I put some in one of those slow cooker type thingys for smell goods. I called my neighbor, (didn't tell her what I wanted) , asked her to come over. when she got here I asked her what, if anything, does she smell. she said just a hint of vinegar. It took all day and I mean all day but there is no smell of skunk around. and as of right now I dont' even smell the vinegar. I did spray some of that 0-odor also. I think we were lucky Ahia didn't get hit any more than she did. I hope the odor doesn't reappear tomorrow. I'm tired.
