| The only thing cruel and unusual about tail docking is if you are doing it yourself. There is nothing wrong with docking a dog's tail. In fact adult dogs of all breed get their tails docked when they have an accident in the tail appendage it gets cut off. My yorkie has a docked tail and it is so cute when she is happy she waves it like crazy. It is a harmless procedure there is nothing cruel about it, build a bridge and get over it.

Anyway, my little guy has his tail docked and that's what I personally prefer. Not knocking the ones that don't have their tails docked, but I do prefer the docked tails. My dad used to breed dogs (no not Yorkies), and he would dock their tails himself (and he was a HUGEEEE dog lover!!!!)...but this was YEARSSSS ago. And of course he did it when they were very young. I've seen him do it many times, and it's not the most pleasant thing to watch, but there ISN'T a lot of bleeding and they only yelp right when it's done and maybe a few teeny little yelps after that, and thats it. They yelp about as much as they do when they get a shot It's honestly not as bad as alot of people make it out to be...

| I think this thread has got so PATHETIC!!!!!! It seems you are just slagging off our country, what has land being passed down to men got to do with anything???? totally off topic. I like our country wether we have tail docking or not, wether land is passed down to men or women and wether we sell fruit on sundays or not. Oh and as tail docking is illegal in our country we have BREED STANDARD yorkies too. I think you have enough troubles in your own country to be slagging off ours. At the end of the day we all have our own opinions on what we prefer, so go ahead and dock. I think a lot of us English members are upset with all the comments about our country, and its thanks to our country that you have your little babies. So americans like docked tails english like full tails, end of story |

| I personally think that...like all other docking threads...this one should be CLOSED! People think it's cruel and people who don't get (rightfully) offended...same story every time. Some are gonna dock for what they feel is a good, harmless reason, others are going to disagree. End of story. yes, let's all "build a bridge and get over it" because the name calling that's happening is uncalled for! |

| I personally feel this topic is a heated one and one that no one will come to an agreement about. I personally think it is stupid to go from talking about tail docking to insutling other people's countries but that's just me.
