| Kacee had to go to vet, just got home. Well she still had coccidia and he said she had a good bit still. he put her on albon on the stronger end he said for 10 days , then amoxicillian twice a day. and nutrical and did a parvo check which was negative. He said not too worry too much about either of them eating too good right now as the weather does effect them even tho they are in the house most of the time. She has gained 2 ounces in 10 days. she is now up to 1lb 6 oz and was 9 weeks old yesterday. I've spent enough on her now to have bought a dog from her litter that she kept in the house but it might have still had this same stuff . But I'm glad I got this one, it took her out of that place and to a good home and to good vet care and I love her so much. I just hope she soon gets over this and feels better. If my puppy had this and the ear mites too, I feel like every one she has in the particular little kennel Kacee came from has it too. So at least I know one is out of that stuff and is being treated good and she has been a very happy good loving puppy since we got her. I wonder if any of them ever see a vet even tho all of them looked healthy. So good luck to everyone who purchases a puppy where ever it comes from.

| Also, the vet told me coccidia is contagious but only if they eat some of the fecies from one who has it. Kizzy has never eaten anything like that, thank God. But if kizzy gets diarreah before I take her back friday to get her stitches out I will have her chked again for it. And for those who talk about their high vet bills. today was 103.37 and I didnt think that was too bad. Office visit was 27.50 and the rest was test and medicine.

| Poor little Miss Kacee!!!!!! She is so lucky to have such a great yorkie mom like you to take care of her!! Will you say anything to the breeder about Kacee having these problems? She probably did have the coccidia when you got her. She will be rid of that coccidia and be good as new in no time at all. It didn't take long for my little girl to get rid of the coccidia. It was completely gone in 2 weeks. Have you tried giving her some plain yogurt on top of her food? I know when Hootie had coccidia, her tummy was SOOO upset and she would not eat very well. The yogurt really helped a whole lot. Sometimes antibiotics can mess up their tummies, too. You might want to give her some yogurt to prevent this from happening now that she is taking antibiotics, too. I would hate for her tummy to get even more upset! Your vet has the best prices! |

| This is her 2nd round of treatments for coccidia. But she was only on it for 5 days first time. Kizzy had to have 2 treatments to get rid of it too. I did call the breeder and let her know about her having coccidia and ear mite and told her I just wanted her to know so she might want to take care of the rest of them. She was ugly to me, seemed she thought I wanted to bring kacee back, but what I didnt tell her and I won't is I mailed in kacees registration papers on my way home from the vet that day. If I had been gonna take her back I would of gone straight from the vet to her house. I wouldnt have called her at all. So much for some people. But she did finally thank me for telling her and said she would treat them. hmmm, I have my wonders tho.

| Glad to know that Kacee will soon be on the mend. Blasted parasites!!! They just wreak havoc with these little bodies. Some breeders are just not very consciencious - once the puppy is sold, it becomes your issue. I know that parasites and worms are fairly common, but also pretty easily treated if everyone gets treated together. So, I guess it goes to show you who is in it for the money.

| Tiger had coccidia but he is okay now . . . but then he is much older when he got it, so I hope your baby's immune system will fight it off. Darn parasites. . . . |

| wow what wonders vets can do. lol. I brought Kacee in , I gave her the nutrical, the antibiotic, and one of the albon syringes. I gave her a bath because she was a mess in the crate on the way to the vet today. I had to drive with windows down and a/c on. Bout made me sick. But I got some towels from the vet and got her and her caged wiped down before I took her inside. The gave me a large bath towel to put back in her cage. Anyway, I put her in her carrier and in our bedroom and shut the door and she slept about an hour and a half. She has now already got up, eaten, drank water, and I took them both out to potty and she has chased kizzy all over the yard just like she was doing earlier this morning. She had pooped a couple lil spots in her carrier on the vets big towel after I got her home. lol. I took the cage, cleaned it up good, put it outside to air the rest of the evening. So she is so happy again. I'm thinking wow one of those treatments was like a miracle or something. lol. But now I put her back in a little cage in the kitchen with her paper in case. I'm sure it wont be the last diarreah for her. So I guess it all starts over tomorrow. cleaning out her carrier and airing it out again after she sleeps in it tonight. Geez, I hope not. But at least she feels so much better shes is like her old self this evening. But I didnt let her play out a long time.

| Piper had coccidia when we got her also, along with giardia. Yes, coccidia is contagious. The Vet told me to wash after cleaning up after her. She said because if I was to get some under a nail & then later bite my nails, I could get it. Grossed me out, 1st of all I am always washing my hands, & I don't bite my nails. Or if Misha stepped in it & licked her paws afterwards same thing. Neither of us got it. Took 3 weeks to get rid of everything. |

| yep it can be transferred by mouth to poop germs. I wash my hands so much till my hand skin is so dry and I put lotion on them afterwards. I even poured alcohol on them couple times after washing then rewash the alcohol off. I dont want it. But he talked like it isnt much chance of humans getting it. What is giardia? That is one I havent heard much about. I've read some people post mention it lightly but I've never heard what it is or how it effects them.

| When I got my baby Misha 3 weeks ago she had Coccidia and Sarcoptic Mange. She is on second round of medicine for the Coccidia & has had to have two shots for the mange. I did call the breeder and tell her because the mange is very contagious. She also went down a couple of weeks ago with hypoglicimia. I too have already spent so much on vet bills and have only had her 3 weeks. |

| Piper tested positive for giardia, so my old vet apparently didn't check any farther. Two weeks later not any better, they ran more tests and she tested positive for coccidia. So sometimes a vet doesn't check for everything at once. The bad thing with giardia is that is causes anorexy. When we got Piper at 13 weeks she was a little over a pound from the illness. The breeder said she was just a picky eater. She was shipped so the pictures she sent us over the internet, Piper looked healthy. After the meds took affect, she ate like there was no tomorrow. On people food that is. The breeder was feeding her anything she would eat, since she wasn't eating much. Baby oatmeal with honey, hamburg. She said her vet tested Piper before being shipped & she was parasite free. Ha! We kept her away from Misha until she was better, so she wouldn't get sick. She did reimburse me for the first vet bill, but not the second one, which was over $200.00. After paying $800.00 for a Morkie & $250 for shipping. Maybe I should go on the do-not refer breeders list & post. |
