| ![]() I would definetly check it out... did you ask how much the females usually are? how old are these puppies, ACA puppies are usually harder to sell also because everyone likes the AKC better. Its recognized more highly than other registries... check it out and let us know!

| ![]() Papers are not important to me unless I was breeding/show the pup...I have not registered Emee and will not..why give AKC my money for a pup that will never have pups?? So if I liked a pup I would buy it for that price...papers or not.. |

My furkids Donating Member | ![]() I wouldn't be so concerned about the ACA thing...Although I do prefer AKC, for no other reason than they have been around forever...And I asked a friend who is a yorkie/rottie breeder what the difference was and she told me that ACA, CCA(?) are cheaper to register the litters. I am buying another puppie from the same breeder that I bought Sadie from. I am paying $1200.00 for her....the only health guarentee that I get is when she goes for a well puppy check. If at that time something is wrong she will take the puppy back and refund my money...I get a little skeptical when a breeder sells a puppy with a long HG...makes me think they HAVE to in order to sell their puppies...JMO.

If you're just looking for a pet, not a dog for showing or breeding, you can probably determine most everything you need to know from that visit - especially since both parents are on the site. They should at least provide a suggestion about size and general appearance of the pups as they grow up. The fact that she doesn't mind your just popping in without an appointment suggests that her place is in good order and she doesn't have anything to hide. Everybody on here knows what it's like to fall in love with a puppy immediately. That's all you really need. While I appreciate a health guarantee with a puppy, I think about adopting a child. Do children come with health guarantees? You fall in love, you take responsibility and you handle what happens. Go look. Then take it from there. | |

| ![]() I would definitely go and see these little boys. $285 ??? Sometimes there just aren't a lot of people in a given area looking for a certain breed. I know a woman who priced her pups simply by looking in the paper and seeing what her particular breed was selling for (which is totally fair) ... Then she advertised in her small town newspaper and got no calls. So, she advertised in a nearby larger paper and still got no replies. Finally, she advertised in my much larger town's newspaper, and she said she got about 12 calls before noon. And - the first call purchased the pup. Plus, they drove 200 miles to see and purchase it. She said they were just totally delighted with the puppy (they were an older couple who wanted a little dog to travel all over the United States with them in their motor home -- how sweet!!!!) PS: She was selling a "small" male, registered Yorkie (parents were about 5 pounds) for $850. I think this was a good price. ***** So - realizing how "selling puppies" can sometimes go - I would run out and take a look. Good luck! Carol Jean |
