Tell me what you think.... puppy I am looking for a buddy for Mason and I looked on that breeders.net and saw that theres a breeder like 20 miles away that I didnt know about. I called and she has 2 little 9 week boys for sale. They are aca registered and you get a 5 gen. pedigree with it. I asked about a guarantee and she said..well, the only guarantee is that there healthy when you get them. They come with two sets of shots, 3 wormings and papers. I dont know much about the aca but is that an ok registeration? The price is what floored me.......granted they are pet quality but still.. $285.00. I said WOW and asked her why and she said "nobody wants boys, everybody wants little girls!! What you all think? I told her that when i had time id pop on out but not sure when so id probably just show up and she was great with that. She said Not a problem. have both parents on sight... so...What you all think>? |
I say go check it out . . .and see for yourself . .then you'll know if you'd want to get one from her. |
wow, i'd be somewhat curious, i'd be checking references and vet.. that's "cheap" for a yorkie! |
I think that you should at least check it out. It is true that a lot of breeders drop their prices for males because females are in more of a demand but that price is so low! I would maybe write up something like a contract that states that if you do buy one and take it to the vet and it is unhealthy that she will have to refund you the money. Just to make sure you have something in writing. It's worth a try. Besides if you bombard her with the right questions you will get to know what kind of breeder she is and whether you should stay away from her. By the way don't worry about ACA, unless you are showing your dog. Coco is ACA and really I see no difference. I'm not planning to show her so I didn't really care. Infact the next dog I get I won't even register them, no point really. I would place that lowest in priority in terms of concerns. But that's just me. |

I am not surprised at all . Look at the majority of puppies wanted , peoples are mostly wanting females . Some breeders place their males at lower prices because the pups can have a chance for a new home . |

For the price being asked I think that is a very standard guarantee. If you're wanting another one, I would go take a look. |
I would at least get her to agree to a 24 hour or 48 hour vet check. That is the lowest price I have ever heard of. |
I dont think with that low of a price your going to get a quarantee |

pup For $285 you would not get any guarantee from me or just about any breeder I know. A lifetime guarantee just does not exist among anyone I know...and if you gave me $20,000 for a pup I would not give a lifetime...many health factors are due to lifestyle..dogs are much like us humans..eat poorly and get no exercsie and you have problems as you age..if the teeth are not cared for, a Yorkie can wind up with heart and kidney disease..etc... When you go to the pound or a rescue you will pay anywhere from $150 to $300..so I think this pup is a bargain..let us know.. |
