If I found someone only 20 miles away selling Yorkies for $285, I'd be there in a flash. The only thing that would slow me down would be the cop that stopped me for being in such a rush. Would I get one when I got there? That's a whole new question, but I'd sure go look.
If you're just looking for a pet, not a dog for showing or breeding, you can probably determine most everything you need to know from that visit - especially since both parents are on the site. They should at least provide a suggestion about size and general appearance of the pups as they grow up. The fact that she doesn't mind your just popping in without an appointment suggests that her place is in good order and she doesn't have anything to hide.
Everybody on here knows what it's like to fall in love with a puppy immediately. That's all you really need. While I appreciate a health guarantee with a puppy, I think about adopting a child. Do children come with health guarantees? You fall in love, you take responsibility and you handle what happens.
Go look. Then take it from there.
