| What to do breeder question So i purchased Daisy from this breeder in Utah (http://www.fostersteacuppuppies.com/) if i knew about the "teacup" thing i might have thought twice. Well she was to come with papers, but it's been just about a year and i still havent gotten her papers. So i contacted the AKC just out of curiosity and they just responded to me, I do not have a Lora Butler in Utah in our registry files at all. What do i do now? I'm going to email her but is there something else i can do? Im not showing or breeding her. Thank you!!

| papers Does your contract actually say she is AKC registered..ask her..but as you say, your girl is all you want...but without papers the price would have been quite a bit less..never the less, she is perfect. PS..and some breeders may use a maiden name, register some dogs in family members names...or co-owners etc.. |

| My contract does say she is AKC registered with papers. I've gotten so many different stories about what's taking so long with them.

| I'm sorry you are having such a hard time getting her papers - that sucks!! Perhaps let the breeder know that you contacted the AKC and they do not show her as registered and ask for a partial refund as your contract states AKC registered and papered and almost a year later you have nothing. She may tell you to take a flying leap, or she may actually refund. I say you have nothing to lose - your baby is beautiful and precious to you anyway!!

I understand it is the principal of being lied to but there really isn't much you can do now. Is there a chance that she is registered under a different name?

| The AKC registration papers just show parentage. If you are not breeding or showing your little one you really don't need them. I do understand your point though.... you PAID for an AKC puppy. Good luck in resolving this dilemma.

Here in Canada, unless that registration from the Canadian Kennel Club can be provided by the breeder, it is illegal to sell a dog or puppy as a purebred. For $2600 I would certainly expect a lot more than promises. I bought a finished proven stud show dog last year for $2500 Canadian dollars and he has proven to be a valuable addition to my kennel in the quality of puppies he is producing.

| If I'm not mistaken the breeder usually gives a A.K.C registration paper when you bought her. They should of been taped to the top of the crate. Did you get those papers??? Once you have those you just fill it out and send it in or you can register them online with the online code that is on the A.K.C registration paper. I'v done it a couple times and I have mine within 2 weeks. Now, if she lied to you and made some fake papers then that is fraud and she should have to pay for that. Whether it be taking her to small claims court or her refunding your money. Tell her if she don't provide you with the necessary papers then you are going to call the Utah police and tell them she is making fradulant accusations. If she wants her doggie bussiness to keep going then she will do something to compensate you. Hope this helps!!!

| you paid a bundle for a pet with a AKC pedigree...A non papered pup would cost far less. I would send the breeder an email telling her if she doesnt provide the papers in the next two weeks you request she compensate you $500 (which is still a lot of money to pay for a non papered pup) I wish you luck
