| ![]() I have had no problem taking either of our kids anywhere, we go to the grocery store with them, mall, Home Depo, Target, and I know Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-mart and only shop there once or twice a year, but in over a year, no one has EVER told us we couldn't be in the store with our dogs. Wal-Mart sucks anyway. |

| ![]() I agree with a lot of what some of you have said. I agree with - I love my Yorkie, but I have loved every other dog I have ever had just as much. Yorkies are special for all of us who have them -- but other people's dogs are just as loveable and important to them. And remember -- a lot of us have other dogs besides yorkies that we are just as fond of. I do. I feel sorry for those of you who get separation anxiety whenever you can't take your little pups with you --- but it is totally irresponsible to take them where they aren't allowed. You can talk until you're blue in the face and rationalize as much as you want - but deliberately "breaking rules and regulations" isn't something that grown up, honest, law-abiding adults do. What kind of an example are we setting for our children when we do things like this? **** I don't want the stores I shop at full of dogs.... all shapes, sizes, and temperments.....and all the accidents they might cause.....Yorkies no exception - a lot of you have admitted here that your little Yorkies have bitten people in stores - and have gone to the bathroom in stores also. These are probably two of the main reasons that a lot of public places have the rule "no pets allowed." And - these rules have to apply to all dogs - they can't say "This one is allowed - that one isn't - this one is - that one isn't, etc. Therapy dogs are rightfully allowed to go everyplace. Our dogs are not therapy dogs. Does anyone here have a Yorkie that is a true therapy or service dog - that has been trained as such and that you need with you at all times for a good reason......???????? I doubt it... Carol Jean |

| ![]() He is sooooo cute and I love the bag. We don't like to leave Max in our motel room by himself so he goes everywhere we do and one of us usually stays in the truck while the other one goes in, if we are someplace that Max isn't allowed. We are working on crate training so we can occasionally go to dinner but haven't gotten there yet (Max is almost 5 months), but eventually hope to be there.

| ![]() I think there's a difference between a dog that is carried in a carrier and one that is walking. A dog in a carrier can't hurt anything, or make a mess on the floor, so I don't think it's a big deal. I've never had any problems bringing my dog into a store, and if I were asked to leave, I would. I've never been asked to leave yet. A lot of stores don't mind, and half the time, the employees are the first ones to ooh and ah over my baby. Part of the reason I got a small dog was so I could take her places with me. I wouldn't try to sneak her into a grocery store, but I don't see the big deal in taking her to stores that don't have food or "no dogs allowed" signs. |
