stupid walmart. 1 Attachment(s) A) do your puppie's feet stink? baxter's feet always smell a lil funky no matter how much i try to wash them. B) do your pups like to ride in bags or backpacks? i have a green messenger bag that baxter LOVES. he'd ride in that bag for hours without barking or whining or trying to get out. i feel so lucky to have gotten a yorkie who likes that. C) the other day i took him to the a bunch of stores in the mall and no one said anything to me about him not being allowed. i also took him to Pier 1, a furniture store, and a fabric store (i was with my friend who is decorating her apartment.) no one in any of the stores cared. it was fun and baxter really enjoyed it. D) i tried to sneak into walmart today with baxter. at first i tried to go through to garden center, but a man at the door saw him peeking out of my bag and laughed and started playing with him while trying to explain why i couldnt bring him.. sigh.. sooooo. being stubborn, i decided to try again through on of the front doors. we made it past the door watcher woman, but some woman was like "OH AW OH LOOK AT THE PUPPY AW" and that got the attention of the door watcher woman. DANG IT. so she hesitantly said "um.. it's against the rules, but.. well he's in the bag.. let me ask," and she asked and her superior said no. dang it. |
haha well you *almost* did it!! baxter is soooooooo cute! |
awwwww well if i had a store he would be allowed in mine! |
That sucks :( I wonder what there reasoning is, especially since dogs are allowed in so many other stores. We used to always bring my older boxer to old navy. I worked there so I would leave her w/ my coworkers and go shopping! I think she liked hanging out there, lol. Where did you get yoru messenger bag from? I'm trying to find a messenger back for mine when I get him but havent really found anything I really liked yet. |
i got that bag from american eagle a year or two (or three) ago. you could prolly find one on urbanoutfitters.com. they have a lot of cute/cool ones for men and women. |
I use a small clipper and remove the hair on the pads and between the toes..that way their feet are easy to wipe with a baby wipe..dries faster. You know people here in FLorida are so different then Maryland...and no one is from here..so that makes no sense..anyway, people ignore rules in stores, everywere. My daughter took her dog to Target and the man at the door said NO..she walked past him...said "don't be silly, I will only be here a few minutes and it is too hot in the car..he walked away. It happens all the time..people do as they pelase and act like the don't understand English or can hear..whatever. I was in Penney's and the cashier told the woman her the register said her coupon had already been used that day..the woman said " I DO NOT care what your cashier register days, I do not use it and I am too old to stand in line any longer"...the cashier apologized and gave her the discount...all you have to do is say you forgot, can't find, don't understand, too old, too sick, any excuse..and you can do anything you want...this is a great place to live. LOL |
That stinks I know my niece and I took our Yorkies to a mall in Durham, NC and no one said a word. Well except AWWWW look how cute:D |
Lol When I first moved to England I got to use the I didn't know thing.....but I been here long enough it don't work now, LOL |

Baxter is so cute!!! I went to an outlet mall this weekend. I had only two stores to hit and refused to leave Oscar in the hot truck. So with him on his leash we walked to the first store, Fresh Produce - a clothing store. I picked him up and asked the two little gals in there if he could come in. They said "of course and please put him down on the floor!" They even offered to baby sit him while I shopped. Everybody shopping in the store even loved on him. Then I went to Perfumania - they sell ONLY perfume. I picked him up again and walked in. The lady was snooty but asked if she could help me. I asked for Calvin Klein Truth and she got it for me. While checking out, I apologized for not asking if Oscar could come in and she very snobbily remarked "Well, you were already in the store"... If I had not already paid for my purchase, I would have turned around and walked out. She did not have to be so rude. But we just have to realize that not everyone is as crazy about these babies as we are. I was very observant of the windows and doors I passed tho and none of them said "no dogs allowed". |
Good try...lol. I guess they are hesitant becasue they carry food items. Sucks! |
Yes, Wal-Mart is strict here too. I once took Ginger in her new Juicy bag and thought no one noticed her, but the next time the greeter stopped me as soon as she saw my bag asked if I had a dog in there. I should have known better though. It was a “super”Walmart with a grocery section. But that’s good to know Pier One is animal friendly. |
you fergot to tell em the reason none of you get into a wllmart is because you forget to mention its your service animal for emotional support. |
