The pictures are incredible! You must have really high shutter speed on your digi-cam to get those great action shots! I can't stop looking at him. What a personality! And handsome to boot! Isn't it amazing that they like toys that are as big or bigger than they are? Jewel was like that. She would drag around a toy that was twice her size!

No he still wont sit in my lap.But loves to be cuddle in bed and on the sofa. Loves to play all the time. He was fixxed in April and has mellowed more. I know at times it can be frustrating but it does get better.Try giving him body massages. Also Puppy classes helped.Good Luck,Sondra

My furkids Donating Member | I think it's just a puppy thing....you know independence!! Sadie would run around like the tazmainian (sp?) devil (as my Dad would call her) There were times she would run so fast I thought if she ran into something she would really hurt herself...She wasn't much of a lap dog when she was a pup...unless she was tired then she would want Mom's lap, or behind my knees if I was laying on the couch...Now I can't get her off of me!!! I love it!! She will stand by my feet and if I'm not paying attention to her she will whine until I pick her up...Don't worry....he will come around...

| He will get used to sitting on your lap, don't worry! My yorkshire, Shanti, was just like that. She was never still, always bringing us the ball (she still does that) and never let us touch her. Now she is 5 now, and she always comes just to sit on my lap! Just be patient, he will soon be willing to sit on your lap! Just let him get used to you. |

| Gizmo is not a lap dog but does sit on my lap to play with his toys whenever he's in the mood. Sometimes he won't eat his food unless he sitting on my lap as I sit on the floor, but not very often. Although when someone holds him he's fine for a few seconds while he kisses them and then he looks at me and starts to whimper and tries to get down. Once they put him down or hand him to me he kisses me like I'm been gone for a week! As long as they don't hold him too long when I'm around he's fine and will let anyone pet him and will even sit on their lap but once he feels their grip, he's outta there and back to momma. I have left him in the car with my boyfriend and he will cry if he sees me, but once I'm out of sight he's fine. He's fine when I leave him with the sitter once he can't see me then it's like I never existed. He stays home all day by himself and I have a doggie cam so I can watch him. Some days he whimpers a few minutes but by the time I pull out of the garage he's done and it's nap time. The strange thing is when he whimpers he's looking straight at the camera which is behind him and his bed. He looks at it as if he's saying "I see you!" It's quite funny to see him do that. |

| Don't worry! My girl was the same way, she NEVER wanted to lay on my lap! Then, at about 6 months everything changed....... she loves to lay on my lap now! If I sit down she always come to me to pick her up. Your yorkie is still a little baby, he's exploring his surroundings and also once your bond grows closer he will like being in your lap more. My girl never looked back at me when I took her for walks outside until very recently she won't walk if she doesn't know I'm there behind her.. anddd she also became pretty fond of baths, something she never liked before. Just give it a little time
