Gizmo is not a lap dog but does sit on my lap to play with his toys whenever he's in the mood. Sometimes he won't eat his food unless he sitting on my lap as I sit on the floor, but not very often. Although when someone holds him he's fine for a few seconds while he kisses them and then he looks at me and starts to whimper and tries to get down. Once they put him down or hand him to me he kisses me like I'm been gone for a week! As long as they don't hold him too long when I'm around he's fine and will let anyone pet him and will even sit on their lap but once he feels their grip, he's outta there and back to momma. I have left him in the car with my boyfriend and he will cry if he sees me, but once I'm out of sight he's fine. He's fine when I leave him with the sitter once he can't see me then it's like I never existed. He stays home all day by himself and I have a doggie cam so I can watch him. Some days he whimpers a few minutes but by the time I pull out of the garage he's done and it's nap time. The strange thing is when he whimpers he's looking straight at the camera which is behind him and his bed. He looks at it as if he's saying "I see you!"
It's quite funny to see him do that.
