| In our home the rule is always "ALL FOUR ON THE FLOOR". That means , no one picks up my dogs without my permission....too many "accidents" scare me to death and can so often be prevented. Your aunt's grief must be huge... |

| one week after I got Kizzy, she was 7 weeks old. we were on the deck. I was holding her and she got excited about something I suppose but I was standing full erect holding her and she jumped so quickly, there was no way i could catch her. She landed on her head and kinda her back. I was so scared she would be dead, but when I picked her up she was yelping something aweful and hubby said, well put her down and see if she can stand, I did in a few minutes. she stood fine then she ran over to where he was sitting and till this day has never acted like its bothered her anymore. Hubby said she must be just like me, hard headed. lol But thank God she was and still is ok. But they are very quick little dogs and you have to have a good hold on them. I am sooooooooo sorry for the loss, but I hope your neice dont feel too guilty as she probably does, it can happen when anyone is holding one as I found out real quick. again, i'm sooooooooo sorry for your grief and pain. Linda

| I have always been super paranoid with Georgie he is so small and I am so nervous. I have explained to my fiance' that we need to be extra careful. He is so used to Georgie's big sister Coco (75lb boxer). Sorry to hear about your Aunt's loss.

| Im so sorry for your Aunt's loss. I agreed with others that Yorkies are fragile and we need to be careful. At the same time they are a great breed. |

| I do not allow people to hold my dogs if they are standing...sit on the floor or a foot stool...those are the rules..never had one hurt by a visitor...but one jumped out of my arms and broke his leg.. |

| My little Yorkie is 8 1/2 pounds (still very small) and I really don't have to worry a lot about him. He can get on and off any furniture in my house - so I don't need to worry about this. Of course, I'm careful when I carry him around - but no more than I would be with a baby or little child. I know that people with "the very small little Yorkies" do seem to worry a lot and have to be much more careful with them. Good luck, Carol Jean |

| Sorry to here about your loss. Even a 4 years old I get a little concerned about Jake jumping off the bed or the sofa. He is almost 8 lbs and I worry about him damaging his hip of breaking hi leg or something. |
