Why dont you see if your kids can stay at a friends house while you go. Maybe someone on their team so they get to their practices.

That is what I asked the breeder! That way I will be able to go up early and be back by the time they get home! Oh and my Mom doesnt live in Ohio(she is in CALI), she would love to keep them. If she was here she would have already put her foot up my MIL's arse and my dad is a drunken psychotic who also lives in Cali. Maybe one day we can all have a BIG family reunion...ON THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW!

No not gone for a week (sorry), but their practices are all week long (except weekends) so there isnt one particular day that I could take them with me. And the breeder wants us to meet a the vet, so I can be there for a vet visit. The vet is closed on the weekend so I would have to go on a weekday.And I am gonna talk to some of the parents at practice tonight and tomorrow about letting my kids come eith them. Good ideas guys I think I was just so upset that my mind is shutting down. I cant see past her pissing me off right now.Why would people do stuff like that.

I feel for you. Up until last year (when she died) I have a MIL like that. Once my dtr (her only real gchild) called from school from an asthma attack. Instead of calling my parents to see if they knew where I was, or going to get her she waiting hrs then called them. This after she routinely went to get my bil's live in gf's kids from school.
She hated me. That next day I got a pager so dd could get a hold of me. I was furious.
In my case, it was my sis in law who made a big deal about the price of Gypsy. NONE OF HER BUSINESS!

My MIL does that. She treats my kids like crap compared to my hubby's sisters kids. She actually makes us pay her to watch her own grandkids, but she watches her daughters for free. God I wish my mom was here.

She makes you pay!!!! What the Heck is that all about????? Doesn't she want to spend time with her grandkids and be part of there lives. What does you husband say about all of this?

Yep we have to pay. She says that she is to young to be a grandma and that she has things she wants to do. Hubby doesnt say much to her cause eveytime he does it gets him NOWHERE! He has confronted her many times and she just lies, denies, and sticks to it. You couldnt make her believe she is that way if you had it on video, she thinks we are trying to make her feel guilty. OH and guess what...she, and her husband, are the Ministers at our church! May GOD help them!!!!!!!

I have a mother in law from hell, My youngest daughter is 20 months old and she has only seen her 5 minutes in the hospital. She hasnt even held her. (she lives 7 minutes away from our house) It really bothers my hubby and he wrote her a letter to please be a grandma to our kids, etc.... still no word. I hope everything works out for you. Dont give up your puppy. You will find a way there I just know it.

That horrible!!!! My mother or my fiancee's mother would never ask us to pay them to watch our daughter. I thought that grandparents loved to watch there grandkids, so they can spoil them rotten with us parents telling them to stop give them so many treats.

I have a MIL who has caused waves in our relationship, and she's the one who lives 3 miles away where my mom lives and hour. Why does it always work out that way? What I've learned over 20 years? DON'T count on her to babysit. This isn't the first time it's happened i bet, so why keep going back to that well to drink? I love this saying "Take advantage of me once it's YOUR fault, take advantage of me twice it's MY fault." Sorry if that sounds harsh

It's really a great rule to live by though and will save you lots of heartbreak if you follow it. What about your husband taking a day off from work to do all the running around with the kids for you? He's part of the equation too...maybe you could work something out like that. I know how heartbroked you must be and how desperate you are to get your baby. It is love when you find the right one. Good Luck and hopefully your hubby can help you out.
