| I feel like my heart is in a million pieces feel like I'm going to die with grief. I lost my Shadow (yorkie) this last Saturday morning. He was playing with a new toy and was getting very winded.I took it away from him a few times.Well the last time I took it away, about 15 minutes later he started breathing funny.I rushed him to the vet .By the time I got him there he was coughing up blood,to make a long story short they did CPR three times but coudn't save him. The autopsy showed his lungs were full of blood, possibly cancer. I have really been grieving hard over this. I got him almost 2 years ago he was a senior. He really helped pull me from my depression after losing my Mom. He was with me constanly. I'm missing him terribly. Thanks for listening. Debi |

| Aw Debi - I am so sorry for your pain and heartbreak. Loosing a little one is so very difficult. Since I never had children they are my children and I grieve a very long time for them. It does help me to know they are at the Rainbow Bridge and that they are running and playing like young pups again. You will be in my thoughts and we are here to help you get through your pain.

I Love Thor Donating Member | Oh Deb! I don't know what words could make this better for you in such a hard time. Mourning is an important stage of the healing process after losing something so special and close to your heart. It sounded like your little Shadow had a really fabulous life up until he passed. You should be proud of the fact that you provided for him this well. Everyone has their time. He was brought into your life for a reason, and as empty as you are feeling right now, your little angel has done his job and his time came to move on and help someone else in need. I want to send my deepest condolences to you. I am so sorry. |

| Deb I have been there, we lost our Bandit last year. It does hurt, no doubt about it. Only time will heal. Shadow was there when you really needed him, after your Mom died. I guess his time was through. If he had cancer or something he really could have suffered for a long time. I know it was harder on you that he went so quickly, but at least he didn't suffer for a long time, and you never had to make the choice of letting him go. No words can express my feelings for you, you will be in my prayers. There is a beautiful Forum on here RIP where people remember their babies. You can write about Shadow all you want, and talk to people who have been through this too. It was my lifeline when Bandit died. Also, check out the things said about the "Rainbow Bridge" on there. It is very comforting. I hope that soon you will be able to remember the happy times with Shadow and the pain will lessen. Take Care.

| I am so sorry for your loss. No one will ever take the place of Shadow but when you are ready, I hope that you are able to get another yorkie. I belong to several groups and no one has ever regretted doing that. Just as Shadow helped you with your depression, your next yorkie will do the same. Often times it seems the new yorkie is sent by the one that is lost. I hope Shadow pulls some strings and sends a new yorkie to you to make you happy again. |
