Oh Deb! I don't know what words could make this better for you in such a hard time. Mourning is an important stage of the healing process after losing something so special and close to your heart. It sounded like your little Shadow had a really fabulous life up until he passed. You should be proud of the fact that you provided for him this well. Everyone has their time. He was brought into your life for a reason, and as empty as you are feeling right now, your little angel has done his job and his time came to move on and help someone else in need.
