|  Deb - so very sorry for your loss. Only time will ease the pain. I think your precious Shadow is in heaven with your mom and they are both looking down on you and watching over you, so now you have not 1 but 2 guardian angels!!!! Just know that you were the best mommy Shadow could have ever had and he will love you through eternity for the love and care you gave him while he was with you. Barbara

| Debi, I am sorry for your loss. You need some time to grieve before you will begin to feel better. It will be a difficult time, but you will heal. I have to say that I think it is wonderful that he was playing with a new toy on his last day. It makes me think his quality of life was good to the very end, and you should feel good about that. |

| I did a search to learn about you and Shadow since you haven't posted very much. Only a few posts but I learned a lot about you  How wonderful you are that you took in an older dog when you both needed to feel love. How great life can be again when you have someone to love. And how amazing fate can be that you brought Rocco into your life just a few weeks ago? I know you are sad and my heart breaks for you. Hang on to the good that you and Shadow had. And allow yourself the healing that Rocco has to offer. Big hug. |
