I have been there, we lost our Bandit last year. It does hurt, no doubt about it. Only time will heal. Shadow was there when you really needed him, after your Mom died. I guess his time was through. If he had cancer or something he really could have suffered for a long time. I know it was harder on you that he went so quickly, but at least he didn't suffer for a long time, and you never had to make the choice of letting him go.
No words can express my feelings for you, you will be in my prayers. There is a beautiful Forum on here RIP where people remember their babies. You can write about Shadow all you want, and talk to people who have been through this too. It was my lifeline when Bandit died. Also, check out the things said about the "Rainbow Bridge" on there. It is very comforting.
I hope that soon you will be able to remember the happy times with Shadow and the pain will lessen. Take Care. |
