| We have a male Maltese and he gets along great with my Yorkie. I think the 2 breeds are very compatable both in size and temperament. An excellent place to get your maltese is Always Maltese. The Fawcetts LIVE for the Maltese breed and they have excellent, excellent puppies! They are so dedicated to the breed. They are out of Alabama but they do ship. Good luck with your search! |

In fact, one of her maltese is a hit at the dog shows. One of her males won the title four or five years ago. I don't know anything about showing so I can't tell you waht. She does ship so if you want her info, please pm me and I'll give it to you. |

| I have a male Maltese and I love him to pieces. He is one of the sweetest little dogs. He and my female Yorkie get along great.. I think the breeds are really compatible with each other. I love having one of each. Maltese are more work in the grooming department though. Even the best bred Maltese can get some tear staining and their coats tend to matt more but all the work is worth it because they are gorgeous. | My mother-in-law breeds Maltese. They are a wonderful little breed. Actually, they are a part of the Yorkie ingredients. They tend to be calmer. However, if you get a rowdy one, don't yell at me. In general, they are sweet, calm, intelligent and faithful. I would recommend them as a companion to both humans and Yorkies. Just watch that tearing of the eyes. They say the darker the dog food, the darker the eye goo. TMI? Plan on researching for a good "whitening" shampoo. |
