| Cute new habits Since working from home full time Duchess and Chloe have developed these cute little habits Duchess has learned how to tell time.......can't believe it. Every day at noon and 4:30, she starts begging for her walk at the same time every day. Keep in mind, I don't walk her consistently at the same time every day depending on how I feel. Sometimes I walk her in the morning or afternoon or evenings. So now we walk everyday at noon and 4:30 Chloe has started this really adorable habit. She must have her morning and evening loveys (cuddles). Now that I can linger in bed before getting up, she comes every morning and spends a few minutes get her morning loveys and the each evening she spends a few minutes with me on the couch getting her evening loveys. Just like Duchess both at the same time. However, she totally ignores me the rest of the day Just thought I share that. Since spending so much time with them I am really seeing their personalities in a way I had not before. really cool Last edited by yavenay; 06-03-2020 at 05:49 AM. |

| We are retired now, but my husband worked from home for the last several years of his career. Our guys would stay behind the gate in their area of the house and wait for him to cross over for meals and a little playtime. Within a few minutes of noon, they would start to whine, then accelerate to a series of barks if he was "late" for lunch, and at 6:00 p.m. they would repeat the behavior at dinnertime. Although my husband has not played golf during the covid-19 stay-at-home, they also seem to sense the days of the week of his regular 3-day per week golf tee-times. They get up before dawn to eat breakfast with him, then return to bed to sleep i with me until I am ready to start the day. On non-golfing days they will stay snuggled in with us as late as we want to sleep in, and are happy to wait as much as two hours later for their breakfast!

That's Duchess.......it's exactly what she does. Around noon, she stares at me with her best pitiful look, if that doesn't work, she starts whining. And than if that doesn't work....she starts barking. Repeat again in the evening just before dinner. When it's a rainy day she doesn't beg to go outside although she loves playing in the rain.....it's like she knows I don't like walking her in the rain. My cat is the same way......insist on morning and evening cuddles......but than again, she only seems to do it around feeding time.......can't really tell with cats if they love you or just want to be fed.

| My little guy spends our dinner time happily in his crate with a favorite chew toy. Every evening, within a minute or two +/- of 6:05pm he lets out a little whimper telling us it's time to get out of the crate and have his dessert. Amazes us every evening. |

8PM in our house is treat time, Cody must go through all his commands and tricks before he gets that treat lol. He starts whining at 7:50, I tell him it's not time, you have to wait, boy how he hates the "you have to wait" lol. So for 10 minutes I get stared at lol, 8PM he's up in my face lol, ok, it's show time lol.

Or they force you to create new habits. I took Duchess out at different times of the day depending on the weather and how I feel every day....never really a set time. She now insist that I take her out every day at noon........on her schedule not mine
