| My dog is driving me crazy by her suicide attempts. Hey guys. So my dog has really been hitting my nerve lately. Because god knows why but when I walk her outside she now tries to eat insects(spiders, worms, fuzzy caterpillars, etc) and now we have a ton of shrooms growing and shes trying to eat them as well.... I feel like shes driving me nuts. I tell her to drop it and she eats it faster and tries to scurry off.... if i getnear her face she just swallows whole.... shes been puking up sometimes.... she eats well so... ive tried everything..... | Be very careful bc certain mushrooms are highly toxic and can cause death. |

| Can you take her some where else to walk that is just pavement or something? Dogs can’t touch everything like we can so they use their mouth.

| If she's doing it that bad then I would buy a cage muzzle for her to wear while your walking her. |

| That to me would seem like a last ditch thing to try.

| We've been trying that with Fabian, too, because he's been seeing insects as a delicacy. Roads and pavement are just a different realm of problems: other dogs' pee and poo, oil and air conditioning drippings, bird droppings, acorns, berries, etc. We just have to be hyper-vigilant, watch EVERYTHING, and keep him on a very short leash. |

I have the same problem with my Otto, even in the clean area we walk now, whenever I see him in a suspicious mode I need to pull and check what is it that he is chewing on! | |

| Certainly better then death from eating a Toxic mushroom or bug. They are not cruel or uncomfortable either. Also some caterpillars are deadly. Last edited by lillymae; 10-24-2017 at 12:47 AM. |
