| No Dog Owns the RV Resort We have had a very fun, interesting experience. We have had an extended working stay at an RV resort with 50% residents and 50% guests, many of whom are regulars. The owners have several wonderful dogs - 3 mini doxies and 1 fat something or another. All of the dogs, including the other dogs who live here have free run of the resort. No fences. No leashes. The result is NO territorial behavior whatsoever. I have never seen so many happy, carefree, healthy dogs share a place - ever. Our little twerp of a yorkie, who owns us and everything she touches, did not know what to make of this. She was surprised each time a happy tail-wagger just strutted by and didn't even give her a look! After a while, she has adjusted and now, although we keep her on leash, she struts around the grounds with not a care if another dog shares the grounds. It's really been a fun, learning experience. |

| I still think letting dogs run free like that could be an issue with them possibly getting hit or into something that could really hurt them.

This place is way off the main road and the circle for RVs is way slow. It's a way of life. Very cloistered. Not a campground at all. More like a continuous round-a-bout.

| They still could get into things. I would be way to worried to let mine run free like that. My aunts and uncles do that and one day they couldn't find one of their labs so they went across the dirt road the live on to the neighbors pond the dogs like to swim in and he was laying over there dead and they never found out why.

There are certainly worries but the dog-fight free, non-territorial behavior, no protective barking eliminates a lot of potential problems, too. And the dogs stick very close to home. They are not wandering outside the loop. And, we choose to keep our pup on leash. The best part is that not one single dog has approached her in an aggressive way.

| I would never let Max & Sasha run free. I do not always have them on a leash but they are always within sight. If they are out of my sight for more than 1 second when we are outside I freak out. But I have had dogs and so have many other people that have lived long and happy lives unleashed for most of it. It is a personal choice with no right or wrong answer as long as the proper precautions and training are used. I just feel that Max and Sasha are too small to take care of themselves in certain situations.
