I would never let Max & Sasha run free. I do not always have them on a leash but they are always within sight. If they are out of my sight for more than 1 second when we are outside I freak out. But I have had dogs and so have many other people that have lived long and happy lives unleashed for most of it. It is a personal choice with no right or wrong answer as long as the proper precautions and training are used. I just feel that Max and Sasha are too small to take care of themselves in certain situations.
