| When do the Ears Stand Up? New Mommie Here When will my baby Lily's ears finally stand up? I have been keeping the ears shaved best I can, sometimes they stand up, but most of the time, they are laying over. She is just now 12 weeks old, so maybe she is too young yet. Any advice is great. Thank you. |

| Timing varies among pups. Most are up by 12 weeks, some much later. Some go up and down. Some never stand. Teething can sometimes affect them, cause them to go down. Some people give their dogs a little plain yogurt for the calcium to help. Sometimes tape is used on the flap of the ear to help them stand. I'm not sure how effective that is.

| Aside from what Maximo said. Larger Yorkie have bigger ears and sometime it takes a lot longer to get them to stand too. You can trim the tip of the ear to help alleviate the weight too. You can feel the ear and if it's flimsy, it's going to be harder for it to stand. Try massaging it to build up the cartilage strength on it. Don't over massage it too. Just a couple stroke in the morning and at night. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If you want them up, I'd really go ahead and tape them as they should be standing up now. Read this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pup...-stand-up.html
