Because he's Charlie! |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 408782Well, Charlie is still screaming as we enter a parking lot. So, let's see.... Can with coins - Charlie just laughed.... Spray bottle (with water) - Charlie thought it was raining... First Alert Bark Genie Handheld Bark Control - Charlie thought it was funny... Pet Corrector Pet Behavioral Training Aid - Charlie said "really?"... |
Yep, that's our boy! Does the phrase "...met your match..." have a familiar ring to it? No, not the ringing in your ears from Charlie's screaming into it, mind you... |
I'm more and more convinced that Charlie and Buddybear are cousins!!! Or brothers from a different mother! Buddybear has started screaming at the groomers.........upsetting the other dogs and all the owners. Nothing has happened either place, home or groomers, for him to start this. This groomer has been awesome with him from day one. She even told me 3 visits ago how wonderful he was doing, now screaming at the top of his lungs and throwing himself off the table or at least trying to. "Behaving Badly" might be his new name. :-( Please tell me it's going to get better! |

So I'm thinking mobile groomers may not be an answer... |

Piper doesn't like our stupid ol' phone anyway...However, under the guise of crawling on my lap, of late Piper seems very interested in what happens as she accidently pushes buttons on my laptop when doing so...(gulp). But hey! On the bright side, today Pipe actually ate half-a-handful of savory crunchy tidbits (please, not to say dog chow)...So let's see, having invested in about $70 of various, you know what, in the last ten days, she has eaten less than a cup and I'm just over the moon. Can't quite put my finger on what, exactly, is skewed here--best if I don't think about it. Thank heavens for you guys, cuz if I ever admitted this kinda thing to my non-yorkie people...well, their screaming might rival that of Charlie's!!! |

I just gave away "another"grocery bag size of doggie treats/ dog food.......this was the 2nd or 3rd bag as I'm loosing count.......and I'm not giving it away to the same people as I don't want my friends to know how Untrained I am, lol. I have not caught Buddybear on the phone with Charlie but that doesn't mean it isn't happening! I'm a little hard of hearing and Buddybear does know how to whisper so anything is possible. Please tell Charlie to encourage Buddybear to Please ride in the stroller without a fuss. His 'peps' spent a lot of money on this contraption plus the time it took to put together.:D We're looking forward to Charlies report on when he gets his own stroller. Lol. |
BuddyBear~~Oh, bless you for not only understanding the food-thaaang, but that you, too, are (more's the pity) living it! Love that you rotate who gets the No-I-will-not-eat-this-wretched-garbage-You-won't-I-won't 'food!' You know, I believe that the only reason Yorkies have not yet taken over the world, is simply because they don't want to be bothered... |

Oh Charlie, you look adorable in your stroller! So calm and relaxed and having such a good time. You could give Buddybear lessons on how to ENJOY the ride. I had to put both leads on Buddybear so he couldn't jump out. This was After the romp in the grass so he would be worn out,,,,,,,no such luck. My house cleaning woman used to be a groomer, so she tried to help clip Buddybears nails.....oh my goodness, he tried to bite, so I called for DH, who had to hold his head while I tried to control his body. . . . Yep, Mommy is going to get rolled up newspapers in every room of the house. This nonsense has got to Stop.....we're going back to brushing twice a day and the new experiment of just sitting in the car every day, not going anywhere, just sitting, maybe a little soft elevator music for two weeks. This BAD behavior is mommy's fault of course. She never put up with this type of thing out of her two now grown sons many many many years ago!!!! She's gotten soft in her old age....lol, the tables are starting to turn. . . Ohhhhh I can SEE changes coming. Daddy can't help you now!!!!!!!! |
Pipe likes to shop (me, not so much), but generally has no interest when asked if she likes this or that toy. But the other night in Wal-Mart, on the bottom shelf, in a random bin of assorted leashes, toys, etc., Piper spotted and stole a furry flat squirrel (quite reminiscent of road kill) and took off like a bat outa hell. She was, of course, on leash, but she was so thrilled and so cute that I ran after her saying "I'm gonna get that squirrel, Piper. You better give me that toy" And you know how they look when being chased and looking over their shoulder to make sure you're still coming after them--Is anything cuter? So I'm quite sure Wal-Mart surveillance is probably shopping the video of some whacky old broad, running through Wal-Mart at 3am and laughing like an idiot. What do I care, most fun Pipe and I have ever had in store! On the uh-oh side of this, I can no longer ignore the hard truth that my Piper steals for the thrill of it (I opt for image of Grace Kelly, movie It Takes A Thief)...Because after paying for her squirrel, we returned to same bin, whereupon Piper repeated her crime with another squirrel and we re-enacted whole scenario. Danged little delinquent. |
By the way, how can that most adorable and charming little Charlie get even cuter day-by-day? He's got a hold of my heart, he does! |

1 Attachment(s) Attachment 409070Well, starting today - we will no longer be taking Charlie with us shopping. Unfortunately, his barking seems to be getting worse (louder) to a point that I actually get a headache. Otherwise, he is a fantastic puppy. It is sad though - when he see's us getting ready to leave - his jumps into his little travel bag. We wish we could communicate with him and explain why we will no longer be taking him but just can't seem to get him to stop screaming at intersections and parking lots. When he is in his barking fit - you can't even try to pick him up - he is simply in his own world and goes crazy.:( |

Maybe you should buy a new car? Perhaps a tricked-out Harley-Davidson? Simply offering some reasonable options...Have you ever put Charlie in a thunder shirt? And/or, what happens if he is in covered carrier, unable to see out? Maybe he just needs a traveling companion...like a miniature horse or goat? |
