| Hey, Slick! I'm not sure Charlie's lovin' the camera! I see a little "make my day" in those eyes Many years ago a pediatrician joked that if the pain meds for our toddler's ear infection didn't work, we should just take a dose and it wouldn't matter anymore. Hmmmmm....... |

| Still "screaming" in the car - he is now 3 and hasn't slowed down a bit! Yea, we still love the little screamer!

| Noppa. The Vet gave us stuff to give him 2 hours before our trip then something an hour before - honestly - we just can't plan that far in advance sometimes. The entire process seemed like a pain in the butt. So, we haven't tried anything that is drug related. I just can't believe something is available to just give your pet an hour before and hit the road. Anyway - we just prepare ourselves to listen to him bark/scream the entire trip. He does stop when he gets exhausted and goes to sleep. We know when he awakes - cause he scares the living crap out of us when he starts screaming again.

| .: The Yorkie was bred for the purpose of catching rats in coal mines, textile mills and factories :. .: The Yorkie was used for hunting to borrow underground after badgers and foxes :. Since moving to Wisconsin, I have seen how true-to-her-breed Piper really is...Relentless, determined, laser-focused with her attempts to get little gopher that lives under her deck. How she can hear and smell that tiny thing underneath boards, concrete and walking on mud is beyond me, but Piper will terrier-trot all around deck then jump (well, heck--it's gotta be a good ten inches high) up on it, stop and raise one paw and cock her little head until she locks in and bam, she's digging and biting at the wood---then she'll repeat entire cycle--several times!! So anyway, Charlie is still the most wondrous and darling little guy and all is well with everyone, yes?! Pictures of that perfect lil' pooch are always welcomed and enjoyed!!! |

| Well - I am a little closer to Charlie not barking in the dang car all the time! I picked up a "Parkland Pet Portable Foldable Playpen for Dogs - Small" and set it up in the living. It has a zippered door on one of the front panels and the top is zippered to allow you to get in from the top. I loaded it up with his blankets, etc. Charlie investigated and actually got inside a few times and one time took a nap! It is 27" across and 17" high. I moved it over to the door and called him - "lets go for a ride." Yuppa - he ran and went right into the Playpen - I zippered the door and put in the back of my car (see pictures). He barked for a minute or so and STOPPED! He pretty much kept quiet until we got home and then started screaming. We have taken him out twice now and same thing - barked a little at first and now and then and then starts his screaming when we get home. I can sure live with that! I might add that his barking and/or screaming isn't so loud - some of it get muffled in his playpen.

| WoW!! Light the fireworks, I think this is a huge victory for you!! You finally found something that Charlie finds comfort in. He looks so darn cute in his playpen in the back of your car. Make sure you somehow attach it to the car though (I am always a worry freak about car accidents). I'm so very happy for you, your wife and Charlie. Screaming only when he gets home is great! He must be enjoying his ride and just super excited to be back home after.
