Bella has Cesars 1/2 of the container in the morning and RC kibble the rest of the day. I know a lot of people on the forum use it because it the only thing they can get there babys to eat. I dont get that worried about meat by products its what they eat in the wild, they kill the animal and eat all the gut and insides , dogs will eat fruit and veg but I found that Bella just got a lot of gas from it.
Its just MO There are a lot of people who think its junk food. Read the label and do what you think

Cesar's with Beef Entrees

ingredients meat by products
liver
beef
chicken
chicken by products
minerals
vitamins
gums, colour
dry yam
natural flavors
sodium and water
and it smell good to LOL

Sure you can...if this is what gets your baby to eat, this is what you have to do. There are much better wet/canned foods out there though...maybe try one of those as well...? Will she eat other canned foods?

Just wanted to say that I hope the Cesars does you well and if she is happy with it and healthy then just great. Best Wishes to you and your baby.

Wellness has little tiny wet food things that are the same size as the Cesar's but they would be better for her I would check those out and see what she thinks.

I will check out the other food as well. I only bought a few Cesars to try them out. So am not out anything!! Thanks everyone for your input!! Also was wondering, the person I got her from, wants me to bring her to her house to see her. Is this a good idea or no? I was thinking it would make her depressed again and mope around. Don't want her thinking that she is going "home". Any thoughts????

I would suggest something canned from Royal canin instead.

How long have you had her and how long was she with the other person? Myself I might not want to take her back as you said it might upset her and she might be thinking she was going "home". Especially if she was real attached to the other lady. I had a dog that I sold once and went to visit her one time and I used their bathroom and when I came out she was waiting for me outside the bathroom door so I never went back because I felt it would be too upsetting to her as we had been close. I did not intend to sell her either but was put into a bad position at the time. Hope that helps any.

I have only had her a week today. So I know it would upset her if we went there. Or I am wondering if the lady wants her back???? She seems still very depressed so would not break my heart if the lady wanted her back. I am not understanding why she gave her up in the first place. She is a breeder and my son in law stated she had too many dogs???? I have no idea........I know it's the wrong title for the thread now.......

If Cesar's is the only thing she'll eat then it seems she's made the choice for you. There are other wet foods that are considered better, I feed Fromm kibble but also Stella and Chewy's as a topper. As for taking her back to the breeder's home for a visit...How old is your puppy? Is she completely vaccinated(core shots/rabies)? Have you been to this woman's home before? The reasons why I ask this is 1) if your pup is not properly vaccinated you should limit her interaction with other people and animals due to germs, even if the other animals she'd be in contact with may not be sick they may be immune and be carriers. 2) it's just not safe to go to someone's home you don't know. If the breeder wants to see what she looks like(is this why she wants to see her?) send her a pic through email/text if you don't feel comfortable(it seems like you don't) going to get home.

Jesse will be three in August. She is fully vaccinated, up to date on vet checks. I just wasn't sure it was a good idea to take her there. She may want to stay there!!! But as I said before, if the lady wants her back, that would be ok.....

Honestly, I do think taking her back for a visit would stress her out, especially if her former owner doesn't want to reclaim her. She's only been with you for a week or a little over it, while she'd been with the breeder for years(?). I visit with my breeder regularly, but if I have a new puppy from her(or anyone) the puppy would need to be with me a little over or equal to the time she was with the previous owners. 12 weeks with breeder=16 weeks with me(i send video/pics though), just to hopefully cut back on confusion. Seeing as how Jesse is 3 years old that's not an option lol. If the breeder is not wanting her back, I would wait at least a month before visiting.
