How long have you had her and how long was she with the other person? Myself I might not want to take her back as you said it might upset her and she might be thinking she was going "home". Especially if she was real attached to the other lady. I had a dog that I sold once and went to visit her one time and I used their bathroom and when I came out she was waiting for me outside the bathroom door so I never went back because I felt it would be too upsetting to her as we had been close. I did not intend to sell her either but was put into a bad position at the time. Hope that helps any.
