| We had a terrible blizzard yesterday with winds off the charts. I thought about cancelling a trip to my foot Dr. but since it was only 10 minutes away, I decided to go. Stuck in ice and snow for almost five hours a horror story if there ever was one.

| Most outdoor parking lots have plugins. It is included in the cost of monthly parking. There are also a lot that do not. Its really just a regular plug stuck thru the grill of a vehicle and the cord runs into a small heater installed in the block of the engine to keep the oil warm. We even have little blankies to go around the battery that plug in to keep warm. Its funny when we travel to warmer climates, no one has ever heard of block heaters lol. |

Oh no, that is terrible. That is why my husband always gets on me about not going below a half a tank of gas during the winter. You never know if you may be stuck in your car for hours. | |

| I was on a Metro Bus and they had plenty of gas but the ice was so bad that if they would have tried to move, they would have taken a fence along with us. So many problems that day is why it took so long to get out. The heat was on all that while but one would never have known it if they couldn't hear it running. Someone said it was 7 degrees F which was bad enough but it was the wind that made the situation worse. It seemed as though my feet would never warm up. That was Wednesday and today Friday and my feet are just beginning to feel normal again. No Frost Bite though.
