![]() Hi Gemy, These are great feed backs. I am actually going to print this off, and take this to my vet to ensure I am asking the right questions. I know for a fact she hasn't shared this x-rays with a specialist, as she wants to see Loki on Sunday before sending me there. At that time, I was going to get his file, and then x-ray on disk. She said by viewing the 3 photos, its her professional opinion that its not his knee, or hips. However she then turned around and felt him and indicated "now i feel his right knee pop, and has never done that before"- please keep in mind his back left feet is what his favoring. I know she checked all of his pad, nail, and even his leg. At first she said the pain was on is hip, and now shes saying his right leg.. I am so confused. I think she is as confused with me. But shes did eliminate Lyme disease, and did take good shots of xray. She did give him two types of meds.. One vidcion for dogs, and then rimadyl. Thanks for all of your great great questions. I am surely going to ask. You guys are so awesome.

All great the xrays on disc must mean they are digital. Although she could forward to the specialist via email... but anyhoo that is just noise - not important . I suspect you might be right in that she the vet is confused. But she is doing what is professionally right referring you onto a specialist. I commend you for wanting to get to the bottom of this problem. I told you I left my comments at the hip joint. But there are other conditions originating from the spine that could create left limb limping/weakness etc. But for now let us not go into that, and you go see that specialist and see what they say.

![]() Okay I am not going to focus on those, as I might have a heart attack. lol I think this will be my last dog. I am so upset his in pain, and feel/wish I could do more. I just can't bare to see him in pain, and just feel hopeless. I love him like his my own flesh and blood.. This is to much- I mean it. Just to much. I worry about him going to sleep (which now he sleeps with us) and then jumping off the bed first thing in the morning to see if that flipping limping has gone away.

Oh dear how slow time goes, I came back here to check up on what your vet said, and Duh it isn't even Sunday yet. KNow I have been thinking about your both! Breathe in, Breathe out;, relax. I know you worry a lot but you see they our dogs can sense our upset, so shake yourself out, and just love on your boy. You will get to the bottom of this, you are doing all the right things by your boy. Just make sure he is not jumping off the bed unless your bed is on the floor ![]()

![]() You know Gemy he jumped off the couch yesterday and I got so upset. I said no-no bad boy- and realized he probably thinks I am crazy. After work today I am going to petsmart to buy him a stepping stool. Crazy how much money I spent and don't' even think twice!!! ![]() Like shelbysmom states" next time I will buy a dog" hint*** they are NOT our dogs, but our children*** Update on loki: still limping. Still on meds. Waiting for my f/w withe doc this Sunday. Hes very active. Loves to eat- and just wants to play. Everything looks normal, beside his flipping limping.

![]() It's so hard to keep them from jumping but obviously Ali can't even think about it right now. I am keeping her attached to me on a short leash or in her expen or crate 24/7. Yes, even while sleeping and she sleeps next to me! I hope Loki will use the steps or a ramp or you may need to crate him. It's awful. Last night watching tv show where a doorbell rang, omg Ali almost jumped out of my lap but the leash stopped her. shaking my head.

Oh I know just how much money a loving Mom can spend on her dog! Just remember you will have to train him to go up and down the steps. Treats have always worked well for me! I think that large or small or somewhere in-between, dogs to a true dog lover are quite like our children ![]() You hang in there - try your darndest to limit jumping off high stuff, and go to your follow up and see that specialist. Now what I believe is that you are strong enough, to do what you need to do for your dogs health and well-being. And your heart is aching so, I get that, but it seems it fuels your passion to do all that you can for your boy! I am going to paraphrase something I read recently, when you love a dog and lose a dog, you give a piece of your heart away, when you love another dog you get a piece of your heart back - but it is a *doggey heart**. Not too sure if that makes sense to you or not. But over time I truly believe dog lovers, create a heart that is different to the run of the mill standard human heart. There is little fault in loving deeply. There is much joy, and of course much pain to that. But you like I, would never stint on loving a dog very deeply and completely. Keep in touch and I will try to look at my calendar better ![]()

| ![]() Was checking gor updates. The vet did check for soft tissue injuries, deep abscesses, etc...right? We inherited a 'walkup' adult male kitty years who turned out to have a huge deep abscess which did eventually rupture in the vet's hand during an exam. No one knew it was there. Changed kitty's personality completely. Just remembered it... ![]()
