| Back to the breeder telling you not to feed kibble with corn in it. You are feeding Bil-Jac dry kibble? From Bil-Jac site: The Real Research-Based Truth About Corn Bil-Jac’s healthy, research-based use of corn provides your dog with: 1. A great source of healthy, available antioxidants 2. Lower glycemic index than rice 3. Great digestibility Independent research substantiates: • Corn has the highest total antioxidant activity (more than double) compared to rice, wheat or oats. It also contains a higher amount of antioxidants than many fruits or vegetables. (Cornell University) • Slow cooking corn releases up to 900% more antioxidants. (Cornell University) • Slow cooking corn releases more nutrients. (Cornell University) • Corn fed to dogs produces a lower glycemic index than rice. (University of Queensland) • Finely ground corn (corn meal) is 99% digestible for dogs. (University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover) • Incidence of food allergies in dogs, while rare, are no higher for corn than rice. (Multiple Studies) Some marketing companies choose an ingredient and build a whole marketing strategy against it. Then, they talk down that ingredient and refuse to use it, attempting to create a marketing advantage. That’s not research-based nutrition. It’s marketing hype. For your best friend’s sake, if your current dog food doesn’t contain corn, maybe you should investigate the nutritional research and rethink what these marketing companies are telling you. You Can Trust The Bil-Jac Family for Research-Based Nutrition - See more at: Dog Food Research: Corn - Learning Library - Bil-Jac Dog Food Just so happens I agree with the information about corn.....and if your pup has no allergies/adverse events from feeding a food with corn, there is nothing detrimental about feeding it. I just happen to like to deliver my "corn" in Royal Canin, and have for many, many years!!! |

| As others have said, the word "teacup" is just a word used for small breed dogs. In the yorkie breed there is only ONE SIZE, and that is "standard" meaning 7 Lbs or under. Also you seem to be a bit over whelmed right now, don't worry, you were given an abundance of excellent advise by many members, which is over whelming but very, very useful. Don't forget to take your new little baby to your vet ASAP, for routine check up. Your DH has given you and your family a beautiful gift of a very awesome breed,a yorkie. Life as you knew it has ended lol, life with a yorkie has just began, one that will bring you much belly laughs, entertainment, and tons of love. Enjoy this little puppy, and if it means you sitting on the floor hand feeding this little baby, well, we have all done that and do that when our furkids start fussing over eating, and yes, we even sing to them lol, to get them motivated.

The pics can only be a small size 75mp or so. Re-size your picture and see if that works.

Firstly, congratulations on your new little baby, which your HUSBAND got for you, for CHRISTMAS. You lucky, lucky lady! And a great, big welcome to you from the UK! When we first brought our Harry home, laden with 'food that he was on, and loved' - well, he too wouldn't touch it for days. I was tearing my hair out - resorting to cooking him absolutely anything that his majesty might eat (yes, including steak, which he went off of after a couple of days ). Your little boy needs some more settling-in time. I would add a little grated cheese or chopped chicken/fish to his food, and make gradual transitions on his basic diet. I put Harry onto Royal Canin as his 'grazing food' which I leave down all the time (still do, at 4 years old). Harry's a funny boy - won't eat anything until mid-day at least, then grazes during the evening....a bit like me, really! They're all so very, very different. I would keep a tube of Nutrical to hand (I used to buy from Amazon) but personally have only ever left down plain water (in a ceramic bowl - not stainless steel - Harry's scared of his own reflection the wuss!!!). Please don't be overwhelmed by it all...it'll all go right eventually, even though these first few days/weeks seem a bit gobsmacking! Good luck, and look forward to getting to know you! Sally + Harry x

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I would help if I could, but on this site is a forum called something like *how to post pictures* How-ever you did not answer me as to if you brought your puppy into the vet yet? What does the vet say about his weight, his eating habits, etal?

| No vet yet - none are open as I just got Him Christmas Day |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Then what I would suggest is you email the breeder and explain that with-in your area there are no vets open until and state when your vet appointment is. So you need some understanding here to expand her 48 hour timeframe on her health guarantee.

| Although people forge papers and stuff all the time. The Amish were doing it here a lot until they got busted.

| What about greeders that sell puppies without papers, and then use the papers on other dogs puppies. The papers are only as reputable as the breeder.
